CONTINUED REFLECTION FROM DELIVERANCE WEEK 2023

Continued reflection from Deliverance Week 2023

*Oh Lord, what is delaying my deliverance?*

In anger, his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured until he should pay back all he owed.  "This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart. Matt 18:34-35NIV

Almost every deliverance minister I have heard or met thinks of the deliverance ministry as a way to help people gain freedom from evil spirits. This is the reason why some bible scholars insist that a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ cannot be possessed by demons. Hence, in their opinion, a believer cannot be in need of deliverance. This is a shallow way to consider this argument because, like you would have heard me say, there are ten factors that stand for the term, Deliverance. (Read my books, How to be Delivered and Remain Delivered. And, You Can’t Ignore Satan and His Demons. Available as soft copy PDF on Amazon Kindle Bookstore. You can also order directly from PNUR Press and Books by sending me a private message)

In Deliverance Week 2023, the Lord began to show us that the greater number of people who are currently in need of deliverance are not directly under the bondage of demons. This short story will cast more light on this.

In 2013, a dear Christian woman took some of my books that amounted to thirty-five thousand Naira (N35000), a big sum then. Despite many efforts to make her give me at least part of the money, she could not. I had bills to pay, and some of those bills were pressing.

One day, I thought this over and decided to preach to myself. So I went to the bible.

Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors Matt 6:12NIV

I took that passage literally; I owed some people, and this sister owes me. The Lord promises that if I cancel this sister’s debt, God will move the hearts of other people to cancel my own debts. I prayed along this line,

“Sister T, today in obedience to this word of God, I write off your credit. You are no longer owing me”.

It was more than six years before Sister T called me. She wanted to plead with me to bear with her because she was not yet ready to pay me. She was shocked when I told her that she was no longer owing me because I had cancelled the debt six years ago. She tried to find out if I took that decision out of anger, and then I explained to her my reasons.

There was a long pause at her end. She cut the call but called back after some time to say that I taught her a hard lesson that day. She said she had been very rough with people who owed her, and she believed that was the reason things were very difficult with her. Imagine that I forgave her the debt she owed me without waiting for her to ask, but she was merciless to those who owed her but have been begging her to exercise more patience with them We have not spoken again since then, but I am sure she will spread the love.

Our main text comes from a similar story. The master forgave his subject a large debt, but the servant was not willing to forgive a fellow servant. So the master commanded that his servant be handed over to the jailers to be tormented until he has suffered enough to cover the amount he owed.

The fearful thing is that the Lord Jesus Christ said that God the Father will hand over any believer who refused to forgive their fellow humans to the tormentors to be tormented continually until they too have suffered to cover the cost of their sins.

Who are the tormentors implied here? Satan, his demons and agents of darkness. It implies that some believers who are seeking deliverance from demons will never be delivered because it is God that handed them over to be so tormented.

Unfortunately, there are many professing Christians presently in this kind of circumstances. It is a worse news that many deliverance ministries are not helping matters. They have a lot of prayer collections full of hate. They teach those seeking deliverance to return evil for evil and anger for anger.

Many unmarried ladies are still bitter with a man who broke her heart years ago, and she is still praying and expecting that something very bad would happen to them. Even pastors find it very difficult to forgive their disciples who tore their church and moved away. They are praying and hoping that something bad will happen to them. Business people are still sinking lower into more debts because of their heart attitude to those who owe them but are not able to pay. The examples are more than we can state all here.

Now, imagine these kinds of people fasting for a whole month for breakthrough; imagine this kind of person doing warfare prayer against the attack of witches and wizards. Imagine this fellow praying for deliverance from complicated diseases.

Who will rescue them when it is God that handed them over? They move from church to church, prophet to prophet and prayer-house to prayer-house. The more they prayed, the more complicated things became. It is not because the servants of God are not anointed or because their problems are too difficult. It is simply because God handed them over.

What should this kind of person do if they want to be delivered from the tormentors? The first thing is to ask God for forgiveness and then extend forgiveness to others. In this way, God and only God will revoke the right of the tormentors, and they will be set free.

Unfortunately, this is not a popular message in the prayer ministry and deliverance circles. Yet, I want my reader to understand that this is the only way.

Our main text added a powerful clause to the words of Jesus Christ. He said that forgiveness must not be a tool to get deliverance or healing, but it must be from your heart. It must be a sincere forgiveness. It must be a forgiveness with the understanding that the other person deserves to be forgiven just like you.

Simon wanted to progress in his walk with the Lord; he had abandoned his sorcery kind of ministry, given his life to Christ, gotten baptized, and became a disciple of Philip. He wanted to go all the way for the Lord. But he was stuck at a point. He decided to sacrifice even his money if that was what it would take for him to progress to the next level of his walk as a disciple.

When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles' hands, he offered them money and said, "Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit."  Peter answered: "May your money perish with you because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money! You have no part or share in this ministry because your heart is not right before God. Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord. Perhaps he will forgive you for having such a thought in your heart. For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin." Acts 8:18-23NIV

Did you read that? Full of bitterness; he was angry and bitter with some people; unknown to him, that was what was blocking his progress. No amount fasting, praying, and giving to God’s work will resolve this matter.

Many people are still held back in the prison of demons, curses, and illnesses because they refused to give to other people the very thing they are asking God to give them. They are in that condition under the express permission of God.

If your deliverance has been delayed for too long, maybe you should look into your heart.

I would like to hear from you.

OUR GOD IS NOT A BEGGAR

*Our God is not a beggar.*

"Cursed is the cheat who has an acceptable male in his flock and vows to give it, but then sacrifices a blemished animal to the Lord. For I am a great king," says the Lord Almighty, "and my name is to be feared among the nations. Mal 1:14NIV

This scripture is the response of our God to some people who erroneously believe that God must be poor and hungry, so will happily accept whatever is given to Him in the name of sacrifice. Too bad that God refers to such persons as cheats.

Let me repeat it, the God I serve is not a poor beggar and I don’t allow my personal condition or deficiency mislead me to think otherwise. Some years back, my wife and I visited a very wealthy man for prayers in his house. Before the time of the night prayers I heard him abusing his wife and I thought he also beat her. I walked up to the room to request what the problem was. He told me to return to my guest room. At the time of prayer he called that we should come out for prayers. I came out with my wife and told him that the prayer has been cancelled because he did not show me respect as a man of God, neither did he respect the God I represented. Even though we did not have sufficient money for our transport, we walked away.

In another instance a family wanted to give me, according to them, ten million Naira to help me build a house. I turned down the money because the so-called giver was treating me like I am a poor pastor whose God could not help. More than once I have refused the gift of some people because they acted like they were helping a poor man.

I am sorry if I sound arrogant here but I want whosoever reads this to know that I don’t judge myself based on how much money others have more than me, but on the grounds of my position as a man of God. I insist that giving to PNUR or my person must respect this rule or you don’t send at all.

Anyone who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and anyone who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous man's reward. And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward." Matt 10:41-42NIV

We must recognize our ability to give to God as a privilege. Unfortunately, people focus on the human instrument when they want to give to God’s business. Our main text points out how people brought worthless things and sick animals to the sanctuary because they believe it was the priests who would eat them. It is shameful that this is the way some people give to God’s business. They give the rejected, they give the leftover and they give what they will not even give to a human being that they respect.

When you bring blind animals for sacrifice, is that not wrong? When you sacrifice crippled or diseased animals, is that not wrong? Try offering them to your governor! Would he be pleased with you? Would he accept you?" says the Lord Almighty.  "Now implore God to be gracious to us. With such offerings from your hands, will he accept you?"-says the Lord Almighty. Mal 1:8-9NIV

My God is not a poor and hungry God.

Some argue that they would have given if they had plenty. Unfortunately the bible thinks otherwise. The bible even thinks that the so-called poor people in our midst are more open to giving than the wealthy and I am a living witness to this.

And now, brothers, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches. Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints.   And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us in keeping with God's will. 2 Cor 8:1-5NIV

These people were poor, in the words of the Apostle Paul, but that did not keep them from giving. Also, contrary to the giving style of some arrogant people, their giving did not keep them from surrendering their life to Christ and submitting to their spiritual leaders.

It is a common thing that most rich people claim that they give their widow’s mite. Sad to say that it is only when they want to give to the ministers and the ministry that they become widows. They don’t buy phones, cars, houses or clothes of widows. They don’t take vacations like widows, but anytime they want to support the ministry they become widows.

Let us see what the widow’s mite is in the bible.

As he looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins.  "I tell you the truth," he said, "this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on." Luke 21:1-4NIV

So the widow’s mite is hundred percent of all she had. But we see someone that gives something that costs him nothing tell us that he gave the widow’s mite.

Let me tell you today, if no one has told you before, all that giving is not honored by God. It will be better that you don’t give at all than to insult God in the name of widow’s mite. God is not a poor and hungry beggar.

We often hear and read people who condemn preachers who live luxurious lives. The same people don’t give to the poor ministers and they condemn rich pastors. It appears to me that they would have all ministers of the gospel as poor beggars.

Let me address my fellow ministers; I have discovered that most ministers find it difficult to give to other ministers’ work. They only shout giving theology when they are the receivers. I want you to know that you will reap what you sow into other people’s ministry.  The sad thing is that you rarely reap in the currency and quantity you sowed. Hence, most people lament when they reap what they have sown in the life of others.

I want to repeat that giving to God’s business is a privilege and it is for your blessing. The bible refers to it as sowing, and God deals with us based on our heart attitude when we give.

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Cor 9:6-7NIV

Deliverance Week is almost here and we need to host people who need deliverance and ministers of the gospel. This is a fertile soil to sow. We have ministers who would want to come but they don’t have the funds for transport. You can sow into the life of these people by sponsoring them. It is a way to connect to your own blessing even if you don’t come.

Concerning those who believe that God should send money from heaven to Pastor Emma and his team, if He truly called them, I want you to read the following;

Anyone who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with his instructor Gal 6:6NIV

Some have never given anything to support PNUR even though they have been here for more than two years. Please, stop sending us good wishes when God has put some amount of money in your custody that could support our needs. I want you to know that it is the support of a few people here that has been carrying this work thus far. Imagine if all the members of PNUR Family and Partners respond to this call and send us something right away.

It is not about how much you give but your willingness and the provision that God has made available for you. We have been praying and fasting; binding and loosing; declaring and commanding, not read the following.

But just as you excel in everything — in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us-see that you also excel in this grace of giving 2 Cor 8:7NIV

We pray for you,

Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God 2 Cor 9:10-11NIV

Now, don’t allow the devil to keep you from connecting to the blessing of this great season. Silence every contrary voice and send something as part of identifying with what God is doing in this season and you will share your testimony soon.

POWER OF COMMANDING PRAYERS

 https://youtu.be/qzVVW0tWKoA?si=-W0vdJ_63tPgwZW2

" *Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Matt18:18*

Welcome to another special day of appointment with God. Every Thursday God has graciously granted us permission to approach Him with our prayers. Prayer is the opportunity that God has given you to say something about all the arguments going on about your life and destiny.  Failure to pray is indirect suicide and I know you are too wise for that.

I like to share with you a true life account that happened in Nigeria. Specifically in Port Harcourt where I live. There was this genuine believer in the Lord Jesus Christ who walked in one of the oil servicing firms. One day he walked into the office of his boss and jokingly asked him why he has not received his elevation for years now. His boss sat him down I told him, “I told you to join our secret society and you refused. You said you are following Jesus Christ. Let me tell you, for as long as I remain here, nothing that is your right will get to you until you do what I said”.

This struck the brother like thunderbolt. He got up, went to his office, took sick leave for one week and went home. Within the said period he declared the kind prayer I am talking to you about now. He commanded that if the Lord is God that his boss must make a mistake that will throw him out of work. He finished his prayer and returned to work. In the space of three months, it was discovered that his boss had made a mistake that cost the company millions but because of his connection to the occult coven, he was quickly transferred to Warri, also in Nigeria. They dubiously brought in a born again Christian to take his place. When our brother whose promotion had been delayed narrated what his former boss had said, the new boss quickly approved his promotion. The new boss was also not comfortable with the speed he was transferred to this new station, so he immediately instituted an audit. The damage of the other man was discovered. He was recalled to Port Harcourt to face a panel and dismissed from service and was also demanded to pay a large sum to the company.

I don’t intend to teach you any magic here but simple faith in the power of the prayer of authority of the believer. On this platform, we will focus on exercising our Christ-given kingdom authority. You would have perhaps heard me say that there are three things the Lord Jesus Christ handed the Church before He returned to Heaven

His name as our banner. That means that we are among those who approach God through His name. There are those who chose other names and it is not our place to know if it is working for them or not

Power. I want to believe that everyone on this platform is Spirit-filled. At least two of you were filled under my ministry. The presence of the Holy Spirit is the guarantee of divine power to enforce the purpose of God on earth by subduing satan under our feet. We may use the weapon of praying in Tongues some times

Authority. This is the right we have to command obedience. By this authority we have through the Lord Jesus Christ, we are supposed to demand that things should turn in a given direction. This maybe new terrain for some of us. This is the point we want to execute in this season of prayers.

On the ground of the above, we will fix our own time to stand up and direct our prayers towards our end. I love to say that we must learn to surrender to God’s original intent as we pray. This is not talisman kind of prayer.

How do we start this?

Develop a mind picture that you are Daniel and having received the information from my last teaching, you now know that you have responsibility to address the spiritual forces that are holding back the angels bringing down your prayer answer. Then consider yourself as Mordecai or Esther and now you know that the seemingly negative disposition people have towards you was not really their intention. You have just realized that the King of heaven and the people in charge of those offices or government establishments are actually under satanic manipulations.

Again try to see with your mind’s eyes that your family,  businesses or clinics are under concentrated monitoring and now you just saw those ugly demonic beings sitting on your projects. View it that the fund that has been delayed are actually held back by a satanic power of darkness and it is only at your command that he will release it.

If you are able to do this, what will your reaction be?

In my early days of ministry I was staying with a family and there was no day they never quarreled. The quarrels were often started by the man and then malice will set in for weeks. On one occasion it became obvious that they were going to breakup. The Lord laid in my heart to undertake the kind of prayers I am discussing with you now. I went to the house of my pastor and asked for permission to spend one hour in prayer in one of his rooms.

I just kept addressing whatever evil forces were manipulating the man of the house. It is true that I also prayed for the woman but somehow the Lord impressed in my spirit that the man was the problem. In about forty five minutes of my prayers, the Lord opened my eyes and I saw very heavy chains all over the man of the house. They went across his neck, down his legs; his head was not left out. I just started commanding the chains to break. I prayed until a powerful force struck the chains and they scattered. I knew I have won the battle and so came out of the room. I went back home to see the man sending one of the girls that lived with us to take money to his wife for food items. Until I left that house there was never any such conflicts.

Would it not be wonderful that as you focus in prayers that your eyes are opened to see perhaps, a bottle in a shrine with your name in it? And as you engage in commanding prayers the bottles suddenly scatters?

Would it not be wonderful that as you pray your eyes are opened to see that an occult altar in the area you are based have been making enchantments against you? Then as you are praying they catch fire.

Would it not be wonderful that in the course of your prayers, you see the angel of our God enter the house of the governor and specifically remind him of his responsibility towards you?

Would it not be wonderful that as you are praying that the Lord releases the spirit of mistake on the “Haman” occupying the door way to the human instrument for your next level and you hear that he has been sacked?

Even though the battle Daniel and Mordecai waged are in a higher level, but I believe that was the kind of prayers that opened the mind of King Ahasuarus. I believe it was the kind of prayers that provoked heaven to release reinforcement for the angel that was bringing the message for Daniel.

In my case it was just one hour but Daniel carried his for twenty days and Mordecai and the Jewish nation fasted for three days.

This is the kind of praying I will leads us into this week.  Now go into prayers and begin to specifically address every man or woman that's important for your next level to turn in your direction in Jesus name

FREEDOM FROM GUILTY CONSCIENCE

`Guilty Conscience Hinders Prayers```

_Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful Heb 10:22-23NIV_

I welcome you again to another day of general fasting and prayers for the PNUR family all over the world. Don’t forget that prayer is the opportunity that God has given to you to say something about all the arguments going on in the spirit and physical concerning your life and destiny. To fail to pray at this time is to surrender yourself to the decisions of your enemies. It is suicide and I pray that you will not be guilty of such serious sin.

We will discuss today from a popular bible story but I trust God to guide us through another dimension.

_Some men came carrying a paralytic on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus. When Jesus saw their faith, he said, "Friend, your sins are forgiven." The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began thinking to themselves, "Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?" Jesus knew what they were thinking and asked, "Why are you thinking these things in your hearts? Which is easier: to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up and walk'? But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins. . . ." He said to the paralyzed man, "I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home." Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God Luke 5:18-25NIV_

It is important that you observe that it was not the faith of the sick man that the Lord saw but the faith of those who carried him to the venue of the healing service. In this we can learn that we can support the failing faith of our loved ones. We can support the faith of our spouse if it is failing; we can support the faith of our children or our parents. Let me add that we can support the faith of our religious leaders. One time even the Lord Jesus Christ asked for this kind of support from His disciples but they could not offer it but resorted to falling asleep.Matt26:38.

The next thing we can see here is that we may be very sincere in our efforts to assist someone but our efforts will not bear fruit unless we discover the root of the problem. The men that brought in the sick man had worked tirelessly carrying their friend from place to place in their search for healing; of course this involved time and money. We can see that even though they had faith but until the root of the problem was discovered, the faith was fruitless. If you asked them before then, they will tell you that the problem was that their friend was paralyzed. All efforts were directed on how to make their friend walk again. I have seen this kind of thing many times and we cannot overemphasize the need that we should be able to hear from the Holy Spirit in our time of intense prayers. Many pray intensely but for the wrong thing or faced in the wrong direction.

Thirdly, the Lord Jesus Christ was able to get the man healed because he could identify the man’s real problem. The man’s problem was guilty conscience/. He had gotten into some kind of sin and I believe that he was sorry about this sin and have even prayed for forgiveness of this sin but his conscience kept condemning him. That state of mind was the obstacle to his healing. Whereas people gave medicine for paralysis, he was sick of a different ailment called guilty conscience. Whereas people prayed for healing of his body he wished his soul could be healed first.

I want to believe that none among his friends could have thought of guilty conscience as a serious problem that could keep a godly man paralyzed for so long but I can boldly say out of years of experience in the deliverance ministry, that God fearing people are the actual victims of this problem.

_Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water Heb 10:22NIV_

Take note that the person with sincere heart is the one asked to apply the blood of Jesus Christ for cleansing of his conscience. Take note also that the same scripture tells us to draw near to God in full assurance of faith while still applying the blood of Jesus Christ on our guilty consciences.

There are many who are still paralyzed and stagnated not because they did something wrong or that demons are holding them, but because the devil convinced them that they have done wrong and deserve to suffer for their sin. In this state he or she is busy with asking for forgiveness instead of standing up to claim his kingdom inheritance. There are some whose sin have long been forgiven but the guilty conscience and the devil have taken a harmful grip on their soul to insist that God has not forgiven. The challenge however is that their faith will still need to pass through the same channel to take hold of God’s promises. Since guilty conscience blocks the access, they are not able to have the required faith that can gain them the desired miracle. It is not that God has refused to heal them but rather that they are not able to receive the healing. It is not that God has refused to answer their prayers but rather that even at the source of the desired miracles, they are not able to appropriate the miracles to themselves.

*What is guilty conscience?*

*A sense of having done wrong - Judas*

_When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the elders. "I have sinned," he said, "for I have betrayed innocent blood." "What is that to us?" they replied. "That's your responsibility." So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself Matt 27:3-5NIV_

Guilty conscience can be defined as a conscious awareness in one’s mind of having done wrong. This is a situation where your conscience analyzes your actions and establish that you are in the wrong by your action. Take note that what your conscience said is one thing but your actions depends on you. We see that in Peter’s case.

*Sense of not having performed up to expectation - Peter*

_After a little while, those standing there went up to Peter and said, "Surely you are one of them, for your accent gives you away." Then he began to call down curses on himself and he swore to them, "I don't know the man!" Immediately a rooster crowed. Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken: "Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times." And he went outside and wept bitterly Matt 26:73-75NIV_

An awareness that your performance was below expectation. That was the way Apostle Peter felt after he denied the Lord Jesus Christ thrice but he decided to pray about.

*Consciousness of sin - Mary Magdalene*

To find oneself in a state of being conscious that you are not up to expected moral standard with the society.

*Conscious awareness of unworthiness or the feeling of being polluted. - Woman caught in adultery. John 8:1-*

*Effect on the victim of guilty conscience.*

1.Depression

2. Lack or loss of confidence

3. Lack of concentration or confusion of mind.

4. Inability to step up again; 5. Feeling insecure.

6. Feeling of self-rejection

7. Urge for suicide.

8. Inability to pray or to stand in a holy place.

9. Inability to connect to the anointed presence.

*Ways out of guilty conscience*

i. Take your attention from yourself and look onto Jesus Christ who knew about your weaknesses and died for your sins Heb12:2

ii.Accept that you are human and forgive yourself Rom3:23-24

iii. Forgive others who would have sinned against you for the same reason that they are human Col.3:13

iv. Accept God’s forgiveness. Rom5:8

v. Accept God’s word concerning the issue 1John1:9

vi. Understand that God did not appoint the devil to judge you. So, silence the accuser of your soul with God’s word.

vii. In some cases you may need to seek counseling

viii. The activities of accusing spirits must not be ruled out. If it persists, go for deliverance.

You can now understand why the Lord Jesus Christ turned His attention to the man’s soul instead of the area everyone else was focused. We can see how this offends religious people. The spirit of religion is the principal beneficiary of the services of guilty conscience. In fact, religious people suffer more from guilty conscience. See how they immediately questioned His right to forgive the sinner. Note also that they did not say this out. They complained and grumbled at the same location that guilty conscience grips them.

We can only thank God that the Lord can hear our hearts and consciences. The same way he could hear the conscience of the sick man, he could hear the accusation of his silent accusers. The Pharisees were as much prisoners to guilty conscience as the sick man but they never saw their guilty consciences as a problem, so the Lord left them with their diseases. The man who saw it as a problem was healed. Who knows the many ailments and challenges that could have been healed if only they called it a problem?

Today, I invite you to accept the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus Christ over your soul as we pray on. Just understand that satan is the accuser of the brethren and will continue to bring charges against every child of God. Whether you once committed the sin or not is not the issue. The Lord Jesus Christ knew that you won’t be able to pay for your sin, and that was why He laid down his life on the Cross of Calvary for your redemption. Once you confess that sin, believe God’s word for your forgiveness.

_If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9-10NIV_

_He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy. Prov 28:13NIV_

According to the word of God, once you sincerely confess a sin, God forgives and you find mercy. You don’t have to give satan any grounds again by listening to him. Prepare your mind for encounter today as you join in this prayers.

Make sure you encourage others to join the prayer.

Balaam and the company of those that curse days

Balaam and the company of those that curse days.

The bible did not underestimate the power of the Balaams of our time. The book of Job surely did mention them.

May those who curse days curse that day, those who are ready to rouse Leviathan Job 3:8 NIV

There are those who have assigned to themselves for whatever reason to place curses on days. They take upon themselves to speak curse words into every day of the week; these messengers of Satan love to see people in pain. The above scripture says that there is a monster demon called Leviathan that will execute such curse words. It suggests that Leviathan would have lain low if not provoked by these expert cursers. The skill of stirring Leviathan or whatever other spirits in charge of blessings is what Balaam is famed for. Only that in this case he was specifically called to place a curse.

This will remind us of those who are steadily harassed in their dreams or in everyday life. These are at times because a day curser has stirred some evil spirits to harass such person. I was witness to heathen priests pouring out libation and speaking words of curses or blessings. One may overlook such things as vain idolatry but the bible says that those are terrible weapons in the hand of Balaams of this age.

In another place, the words of these men or women are referred to as Calamities and Lashes (Scourge like that of a whip).

From six calamities he will rescue you; in seven no harm will befall you. In famine he will ransom you from death, and in battle from the stroke of the sword. You will be protected from the lash of the tongue, and need not fear when destruction come Job 5:19-21 NIV

Note that one of the seven calamities is “The lash of the tongue”. The promise is that you will be protected from the lash of the tongue, being so protected you will hence not fear destruction. If we can take this a bit further; the cursers place curses by stirring up Leviathan the demon in charge of executing curses but the child of God is protected from such demon. If the wall of protection is not there, the cursed person is exposed to destruction. This destruction can lead to death, accidents, diseases and frustration in life etc.

The bible talks of this curse factor in another place.

No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,"   declares the Lord. Isa 54:17 NIV

Here again we see a tongue rising up to accuse; to say things against you and declare why you are so judged. The above scripture did not say that you will lie down and sleep because the Lord will fight for you. It says that you will refute the said tongues. That means it will be your place through the help of the Holy Spirit to say, “No! Not so! That accusation is not true and the curse cannot stand!”

I hope I am getting clearer now? A dear friend and partner was concerned after the earlier post that I pointed out that we don’t have to fold our hands and wait for God to fight for us.

Yes, I mean to emphasis that point. There are battles the Lord will have us leave for Him and not fight, like in 2Chron20, but in most other battles mentioned in the bible, the Lord will have the active involvement of His people. He will ask their leaders to call out men and meet the enemy in His Name.

The Lord said to Moses, "Take vengeance on the Midianites for the Israelites. After that, you will be gathered to your people." So Moses said to the people, "Arm some of your men to go to war against the Midianites and to carry out the Lord's vengeance on them. Send into battle a thousand men from each of the tribes of Israel Num 31:1-4NIV

Through laziness, some will rather claim only the promises that asked us to fold our hands doing nothing and overlook those that ask us to put on the whole armor of God and withstand the foes.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Eph 6:10-13NIV

Curses are not God’s will for His people but devil and his agents are not out to give us God’s will but their evil curses. Somebody once said, “What have I done that somebody will curse me?” Well, that is not the argument in the kingdom of darkness; they are evil and all they do is evil. So placing curses is what they live for. Curses, Spells, Hexes, Vexes and all evil yokes are daily released to locate unsuspecting persons. The bible therefore asks the believer to stand up against the works and workers of evil.

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Eph 6:13 NIV

Another error we teach in the church is that ungodliness only refers to sin such as fornication and murder. No, ungodliness refers to everything that is contrary to God’s design and purpose for your life.

Poverty, diseases, failure, premature death, broken marriage, barrenness, impotence and all such things are all ungodliness because they are contrary to God’s likeness and nature. These are the very things that Balaam Company will want you to have. You can now understand the following scriptures better;

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.  It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope Titus 2:11-13NIV

The Grace of God does not tell us to throw our hands into the air and wait for God’s deliverance but to say, “NO!” to things that are not God’s will for us. Those things are from the devil and are spread by his expert cursers through the demon monster Leviathan.

Can we pray again?

Say, --

1. Lord, I decree a total NO! to all the evil things that are not in your will for my life in Jesus Name

2. I say, NO! to defeat, death, diseases (you can mention the rest) in Jesus Name

3. In the name of Jesus I disallow every curse and operation of Leviathan the monster in my life in Jesus Name

4. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, I confuse every demon assigned to monitor every curse placed on my life. I bind them and cast them completely out of my life in the powerful Name of Jesus Christ

5. I condemn the voice of expert cursers rising against me, in Jesus Name

6. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ I declare that I am protected from destruction and all instruments of destruction in Jesus Name

7. I silence the voice of any libation made contrary to God’s will for my life in Jesus Name

8. In the name of  Jesus Christ I separate myself from every collective or grouped curses which the cursers have placed on me or my family in Jesus Name

9. I decree that a wall of fire surrounds me in Jesus Name

10. I unlock the presence of the Holy Spirit all over me in Jesus Name

11. I unlock God’s blessing for me and my family in Jesus Name

12. I connect to my eternal root in the Lord Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit in Jesus Name

Begin to raise your hands and thank the Lord!

Amen!

PUT GOD IN A TIGHT CORNER

Don't pity your God but put Him in a tight corner

Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him. Isaiah 64:4

Prayer is the opportunity that God has given to you to say something about all the arguments going on about you in the spirit and physical.  When you fail to pray,  you have decided to surrender your life to the opinion of others. I know you are too wise for that.

We will deal with another serious matter today.  Some people are out there fighting and killing people in defence of their God. That should not be the case with us. Some fear shame and reproach. If you are sure you are in God's will and are operating within divine program,  you don't need to fear.

If all the glory will go to God, it is only fair that He should also take all the shame if it turns out so. If you are sure you have a god and you are sure that your god is alive, then it is time to set him up and challenge him to show up. As for me, Jehovah is my God and I challenge those that serve the God that I serve to read thoughtfully the following meditation.

*For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God…Instead, they were longing for a better country — a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them. Heb 11:10,16NIV*

The landlord of a Pastor threw him out along with his wife, children and church property. His offense was that he owed house rent for more than six months. To the amazement of the landlord and the neighbors, the Pastor just sat in the open with his children at the same spot their property were lying. This happened in the morning and when the sun began to rise, some neighbors offered to take in the Pastor and to provide him with temporal accommodation until he could get somewhere else but they were shocked when the Pastor turned down their offer. Towards evening time, the neighbors were no longer comfortable with the way a man and his entire family were just sitting in the open; for them it painted them as heartless people. They came out to beg them to relocate into any of their houses, but the Pastor answered them, “I am not angry with anyone, not even my landlord. He has tried by accommodating me and bearing with my indebtedness. I will not leave this spot until the God that called me provides me with my own land and house. This is our resolve and no one needs to feel sorry for us about this.”

Most neighbors had sleepless night as they thought how that man and his family laid out there. It began to drizzle in the night and some neighbors came out to beg his wife and children to come out of the rain but they insisted that they will stay with their father, siting that he had done nothing wrong by challenging his God to show up or they will continue to stay out there.

As early as 6am one of the neighbors walked out to the Pastor with the document of his landed property and handed it to the Pastor, “I offer this to your God. I have many of such and it was selfish of me to hold it while you were embarrassed”.

When others heard what the man did, some went out and bought wood and other building materials and started building a temporal structure for the Pastor’s family, by mid-day, there was a place for them to move over to. I am tempted to mention the exact city and place this happened in Nigeria but I fear I might embarrass some people, but just know that it happened in Cross Rivers State, Nigeria

You would have read my testimony of a village Pastor that raised the dead. This man of God had served God with his entire family in abject poverty. One day a man of that village that lived in Lagos city bought him a bag of Rice and a live-goat for Christmas. That marked the beginning of yearly provision of one bag of Rice and a live-goat for every Christmas season. Within some years, the Pastor heard that the man who was providing the Rice had died. In those days there were no GSM or any other kind of phone in that part of Nigeria. So it took days before his sister brought the message to the village. The Pastor asked her, “Have you told anyone else in this village about this?” she said, No.

He then instructed her to return to Lagos and bring the corpse of the man to him in the church. She obeyed him and it was another two days before the corpse arrived. Against the rules of his denomination, he asked them to take the corpse into his church hall and lay it on the altar.

The Pastor knelt beside the corpse and prayed, “Lord, I thank you for calling me into the ministry and you can bear me witness that I have never complained in spite of all the hardship I have faced for the several years I have served. Until one day this your son remembered me and began to provide my family with a bag of Rice and a live-goat every Christmas. We would manage them until around June of the next year and then begin to endure hunger until the next Christmas season when he will bring another one. Now, this man is dead. I am not questioning you because I don’t have the right to do so, but I just want to let you know that this man will not leave this altar until you tell me where the next bag of Rice and live-goat will come from”. Having said that he threw himself on the corpse and began to cry. To the shock of everyone present, the dead man came back to life

In my case, in the year 2015 I returned from my travel ministry to learn that my family have been evicted from the place we lived. The owner of the property had sold it to someone else. We were given quit notice but we did not have sufficient money to pay for another house. Instead of sitting down to worry I continued to organize programs and travel to preach. When I returned, my wife and children were inside our church building that had no doors, windows and the roof was makeshift. My neighbors came to my wife and asked them to relocate to a cheap neighborhood but they answered, “Our Daddy will build a house when he returns. I call Mrs, Chidinma Remy Okere, Prof Kontein Trinya, DSP Grace Ogbonna, and Pastor Ifeanyi Nwokedi among others as my witnesses to this testimony.

The lady that bought our former accommodation gave us two hundred thousand Naira which will barely pay for one bedroom flat.

Someone asked me, “What do you want to do next, Pastor?” “I want to start building my house” was my reply. Some thought I was joking.

We used the amount available to invite local builders. In fact, we were still living in that church hall when we hosted PNUR International Prayer and Revival Convention 2015 at Daffodils Hotels, Port Harcourt. Many people who were in that program in 2015 are reading this testimony for the first time now. Fellow ministers called me foolish for “wasting money” in hosting an international convention when my family was living in a dangerous environment. Today my family is living in a three bedroom flat we built after that season and the church looks better than it was. I want to use this opportunity to thank all PNUR partners that supported us in any way as we passed through that storm as a family

I repeat myself in almost all my preaching outings that I don’t pity or protect my God. I will not serve a God who cannot defend Himself. So I serve Him with all heart and I will not apologize to anybody about that. But when issues arise and it appears that it will take only God to resolve it, I don’t try to act on His behalf.

I want my reader to take note that all the men of God who dared to challenge God to vindicate them had something to present as grounds why they believe that God should and must do something. Understand that each of them have lived a dedicated and sacrificed to God’s service. I mean to warn my reader that you dare not take such hard stance if you have nothing on the altar.

I write this today to encourage all our missionaries on the field who are facing all kind of financial and social pressures. I want to also encourage all genuine believers and tell them not to quit in serving God no matter what they meet in this world. Even if men mock you today, don’t worry, they will hear your news as they are reading these ones.

Finally, please if you are the kind of person who is currently holding back the resources that God has provided for those who are serving in active ministry, please release them now. We will like to receive Seed Faith for the support of Deliverance Week 2023. As you already know we will be feeding and accommodating delegates for the programme

Excuse me God, just what kind of favor is this?

 *

(Please, spare time to read Gen6-8)

*The waters continued to recede until the tenth month, and on the first day of the tenth month the tops of the mountains became visible Gen 8:5NIV*

We give glory to God for permitting us to see another new month. We must not lose sight that everyone did not enter this month in peace of mind. Some have lost beloved ones and there are those caught up in war zones. There are those who are still enmeshed in very challenging emotional crisis, yet some are still in the hospital. If you are alive at all, I mean if you are able to read this post, then God is not through with you. Let us not be like those who celebrate that we are not in the mortuary as if God hated those in the mortuary but let us in humility of heart continue to lift the grieving in prayers because we must test every part of this life; we must test joy and tears and that is the beauty of life.

Our text chapter started with,

But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded Gen 8:1NIV

It is a wonderful testimony that God remembered Noah after many days of being locked up in the ark but I want to think that Noah will wonder if it was God or satan that remembered him. When he heard God say, “Hi! Noah, I just remembered you” I believe he heaved a sigh of relief but what followed would have shocked him. God sent a wind and the assignment of this wind was to clear the waters from the surface of the earth. Don’t forget that Noah was in the ark that was upon those waters and those animals will start barking, mooing, roaring and whatever other kind of noise animals make.

This kind of situation came up in -

But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. Gen 6:8NIV

Noah was living his quiet life until he found favor before God and everything changed. Every morning and night Noah and his family never rested because God gave them a gigantic task to build an ark that should take all mankind if they will accept to come in. The ark eventually housed all manners of livestock and wild animals.

Someone could have asked, “It has been long we saw Brother Noah on the playground”, and his neighbor will mockingly respond, “He said he found favor before his God”.

God treats us as His own family and co-workers. When God is dealing with the issues of His own children, He does not follow the rule as He would in blessing the other person on the street. Noah’s destiny was tied to God’s agenda, so each time He dealt with Noah, God connected it to His agenda. That was why when Noah found favor before God, he was employed in what God was out to do at that time. When God decided to bring Noah out of the ark, He was also concerned about where the animals will settle. God did not only remember Noah but He also remembered all the animals that were with him. God took cognizance of the factors Noah will face to adopt to the new world he was coming into.

So that wind was necessary. If the wind did not blow as it did, Noah and the animals will still face the challenges associated with the waters in the future. It is divine wisdom and favor that brought the wind. It will blow, no matter how fierce it does, no life shall be lost because it was sent by Love.

We will wonder why our good God will choose that driving wind; why not something else? Why not just command the waters to disappear.

There are three things God always wanted to achieve as He dealt with His people; be it in punishment or blessings.

He always wants to give us something to remember so we don’t forget Him as we are prone to do. More have failed God in the time of blessing than those who failed Him in the time hardship

He wants to give us testimonies to cheer-up other people that could find themselves in such situations in the future. Like I said earlier, challenges are part of life and all men will face it at one time or the other. A man who has seen pain will be more qualified to encourage those passing through pain.

Thirdly, God always wants us to come out stronger, tougher and better after any process He passed us through. He is out to make mighty men and women

So the Psalmist said,

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me Ps 23:4NIV

Comfort does not mean to bring us out of the challenge but to supply us with the required energy and stamina so that we will emerge more than conquerors. Everything happening around you and those that will happen after now, have one focus; they came to clear the way for you.

The waters continued to recede until the tenth month, and on the first day of the tenth month the tops of the mountains became visible Gen 8:5NIV

Before the first day of the tenth month, it would appear that all Noah had was trouble upon trouble. But on this day, there was an evidence, a proof, something to show that the wind was working. That is the point people begin to celebrate you and friends who had abandoned us will begin to seek our phone numbers. Yet, I want you to know that this is only the beginning of your recovery and repositioning. Indeed, better days are ahead.

I don’t know from where you are reading this but take my word, all the shaking you feel now is moving away the obstacles to your future establishment. You may not understand it but that is why you are called to have faith in God. The just lives by faith and without faith the just will begin to suffocate.

I want to welcome you to this wonderful new month. In this month you will begin to see the material manifestation of all the secret work God has been doing in your life since January in Jesus name

You will come out better, stronger and more blessed in Jesus name.

Just shout it out loud, “Lord, I thank you because I know you are working everything for my good!”

 *Happy New Month*

Please share this with someone.

I am praying for you
