The Right Ways to Interpret Your Dreams

*You cannot interpret a dream accurately unless you know the origin of the dream*

A pastor kept dreaming of his wife being the problem in his church; he would see her setting his church building on fire, driving away new members and planting charms in the church premises. He shared this with a respected elderly woman in the church, whom he considered as very committed and dedicated to the wellbeing of his ministry. The woman advised him to stop sharing his plans with his wife. Soon they formed a special prayer team without the knowledge of his wife and the focus of their prayer is that whoever is responsible for the troubles in the church should die. It was not long his wife became sick and died principally because the pastor deliberately refused to give her good medi-care. After her burial the elderly woman recommended that he should marry another dedicated young woman in the church who had been showing loyalty to him.

It was after the marriage, the pastor soon discovered that his new wife was a witch and his wife had been killed by the witchcraft kingdom to which the elderly woman and his new wife belonged. By the time he ran away from his church, he had become sick, sexually impotent and down in abject poverty. He tells the story with tears in his eyes but he has lost a lot

A woman I once ministered to, told how she had been warned in her dream several times that she must avoid me because I was a wizard masquerading as a pastor. Every night she was abused sexually in her dream, there were lacerations on her skin from witchcraft attacks and her husband was suffering emotionally due to hardship and ill health. Anytime she thought of coming to my center, she will hear voices in her dream warning her of the terrible things I will do to her if she dared. One day she resolved to come anyway, after all what harm could I have caused more than the one she was already in? In the course prayers demons began to manifest and she was delivered from those evil spirits. She ran home to bring her husband and two children who were also delivered. They are back to their business and succeeding.

There are more than two origins of dreams and each source have their reason for sending dream signals. I have read several books by dream experts but I cannot remember any author who took time to try to answer this question. Most of them just went on to teach the meaning of dreams and their interpretations. Not a few of these authors failed to make distinction between the sources of the dreams. In some cases, the dream interpreter is talking from occult background and the meanings he teaches come from that end. It is hard doing a good job on dream interpretation if we don’t know the source of the dream. The source of the dream determines the purpose of the dream. God sends dreams to warn, instruct and guide His children. Satan sends dreams to harass, manipulate or torture his enemies. There are dreams that result from thoughts in our mind or some movies we just watched before going to bed. So if we ignore the sources of the dream, it is hard to interpret them accurately

Occult people and other Satanists pass through dreams to pass their own information and cause harm to people. Anybody who have involved in occult and Indian magic will confirm this. There are times that your environment generates dreams because of where you are.

The only proper way to interpret dreams is to first ask the question, “Where is this dream coming?”

When we are sure that a particular dream is from the devil, we should not expect the dream to bring us peace. We should therefore stand in the power in the name of Jesus Christ and cancel it.

How to handle stigmatization because of Osu Caste System

When village people block marriage processes because of Osu Caste System)

A member of PNUR Family and Partners WhatsApp Platform sent the following to me. -

Good morning sir. I need counseling for an Igbo brother whose marriage proposal is being rejected not by the sister but by the eldest son of the family on the ground that he is an osu.

I have his permission to use it for public discourse.

For the sake of clarity on the side for those who may not understand the subject, let me do some explanation first.

Osu Caste system – Before the coming of Western Civilization to Africa, there was an ancient practice in Igbo land and I believe also in other parts of Africa when people dedicated themselves to a particular deity. That means that this person is marked as the property of a particular deity. These deity in most cases is the god of the community. There are a number of reasons that could lead to this.

By general consent. Just like the Lord Jesus Christ said, the community unanimously agree to dedicate this person to the community god for him or her to serve as a priest or priestess before their shrine. This is the same a father will dedicate his child to serve as a pastor. We see this when Hanna dedicated Samuel to serve as a priest under Eli. 1Sam1&2

The person is offered as a living sacrifice on the altar of the said god to appease the god or to seek his favor. In the olden days some of these people could be killed like every other animal as a sacrifice and others are left alive to serve the priest of the altar as bond-slaves for life. This is the background of the word, Outcast. Unfortunately as time progressed, all of them were rated as Outcasts.

A person may willing dedicate himself as a property of the said deity on the altar in the presence of the priest. This often happens when the person has too many enemies and he is afraid that they may kill him and take his land. When he dedicates himself to the shrine, everything he has will belong to the god of that altar and whoever attacked him, should prepare to contend with the deity.

A person who is born from the family of one who was an Osu, automatically becomes one. So this status could be inherited

These people don’t get married outside their circle because they are considered sacred people. If a woman from outside this circle sleeps with or gets married to one of them, she immediately belonged to them. The practice was that her family will not accept dowry or they too will become the property of the deity.

If they lay hands on you or you have any close contact with them, you are automatically one of them unless you carry out a specified sacrifice to redeem yourself. They have their animals and farmlands which people avoided for the sake of incurring the anger of the gods. They served as law enforcement officers to those deities and would cease the properties of defaulters.

In fact, people that are not Osu, took titles like, Osu-Agwu and Nwaosu indicating that they were untouchable or consecrated people. In those days it was considered a special honor to belong to the deity and people avoided them.

When civilization came, what was considered a special privilege is now vilified and condemned by religious people. Allegiance shifted from those gods to the God of Christians. Those gods were backward but the God of the Christians is progressive. What was considered a special protection is now seen as limitation. There was a shift.

There was another class that is known as “Ohu” which means bond slave. These are people captured during wars and they serve as slaves and they are cursed never to have equal rights with freeborn children. We see something similar to this in Joshua Chapter 9.

You are now under a curse: You will never cease to serve as woodcutters and water carriers for the house of my God." They answered Joshua, "Your servants were clearly told how the Lord your God had commanded his servant Moses to give you the whole land and to wipe out all its inhabitants from before you. So we feared for our lives because of you, and that is why we did this. We are now in your hands. Do to us whatever seems good and right to you." So Joshua saved them from the Israelites, and they did not kill them. That day he made the Gibeonites woodcutters and water carriers for the community and for the altar of the Lord at the place the Lord would choose. And that is what they are to this day Josh 9:23-27NIV

They were never to aspire for leadership in all their generations but were sentenced to be servants. There were often stories of heartbreak when a young man fell in love with a girl, only to discover that they were not permitted to marry just because they were separated by this situation. This at times led to suicide and others fled their home land to places where they would be accepted as normal human beings as others.

In most Anambra State and Delta Igbo communities, some of these Osu people were the first to embrace Christianity and even grew up to become priests and pastors in Roman Catholic Church, Anglican Church and early Evangelical Churches like ECWA. They were taken abroad by the white men and they returned as educated and important persons. This created a problem because the society still looked at them from the view point of their heathen background. Administrative bottle necks forced people to submit to them.

When people gave their life to Christ, there was still the struggle on how to relate with them. In one church a family refused to receive the Holy Communion because the priest was an Osu. Pastor began to have problems when two Christian converts were refused marriage rite because the community they came from saw one of them as Osu, or outcast as they have turned out to be called in general.

What should our Christian response be in this matter?

An Osu is dedicated to an idol. A Christian is dedicated to God. We had this situation in the bible.

For they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, 1 Thess 1:9NIV

The Thessalonians who turned to believe the gospel were firstly serving idols and that made their repentance outstanding

Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God 1 Cor 6:9-11NIV

The bible is clear that among those we now know as the believers to whom Apostle Paul wrote those letters were once idol worshipers. The difference now is that they have embraced Christ as savior.

There was a time the believers faced such questions and this is what the bible has to say,

So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 2 Cor 5:16-17NIV

Unfortunately, in some Christian circles these people who have turned to Christ are stigmatized and denied marriage rites. Anyone who understands that once someone gives his life to Christ, he is no longer a slave or property of any other God, but of Christ Jesus will not stigmatize these people.

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. 1 Cor 6:19-20NIV

Our redemption is not only from sin but from any other kind of legal transaction that dedicated us to satan or any other idols. So when an Osu, Umeh, Diala or whatever name it is called in your community, comes to Christ, you must no longer regard him as devil’s property, but a property of Jesus Christ.

The angle of covenants

There is another angle to this; even though this person has denied the devil and his kingdom, satan does not just walk away but will put forth a fight. The evil spirits from these altars attack people as masquerades in the dream. They make appearances to people in faraway countries and can strike their victims with madness, cause failure at every point of endeavor, loss of memory, accidents and many other kinds of infirmities just to regain their loyalty. They are among what some people regard as spirit spouses. I discussed this in one of my books on this subject. The reason people call them spirit spouse is because they block marriages of their targets. The fact is that by the terms of the covenants of some of them, these humans were supposed to live single without marriages all their life and to serve on their altars.

Unfortunately these covenantal terms are not written down and so the people don’t even know where their problem is coming from.

When some these people come to church for the first time, they are accepted like every other person. This is principally because many pastors don’t understand the principles of covenants, curses and deliverance. The processes the pastors and priests know is just to add people to church membership and very little about spiritual terms of covenants.

That is why we at Door of Hope Christian Center and School for Deliverance and Spiritual advocate proper deliverance and liberation processes for believers in Christ Jesus. One of such is Baptism by immersion.

Baptism is actually an initiation process into Christ, hence,

For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ Gal 3:27NIV

Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. Rom 6:3-4NIV

That is also why we encourage people to follow due process to destroy family altars and terminate the ancient covenants that bound them and those demons from their generations. Many Christians in the city still have unresolved issues with the heathen altars from their home towns. The bible instructs that we should do our best to destroy those altars and erect a proper one to the Lord.

Unfortunately most churches don’t know about this and the result is that most of these people are involved in endless battle with those demons. The worse side of it is that they don’t know where the battle is coming from because they were not part of those that established those idolatrous covenants and there is no written documents to address them. If due process is followed, every hidden covenants can be addressed and cancelled.

Some people out of frustration have decided to take actions contrary to these issues outside due process and the result is what we read in 2Samuel 21:1-16. Three years of famine and unexplained hardship.

What should be our attitude when traditional people persecute or try to stand on our way in marriage matters because of our belief as Christians?

The funny thing I noticed is that these communities don’t complain when people get involved in premarital sex with whomever. They only stand up when they want to settle down in a legal marriage. Some of these people that will oppose this marriage do every day businesses with the supposedly Osu people. They even attend the same village meeting, church and market with them. It is only ignorance that makes them to believe that it is only in legal marriage that they are in danger. In fact, some are currently suffering from the consequences of broken hidden covenants and they don’t know it.

With regard to the matter before us currently, I have these to say -

I will suggest that the Church should first follow the path of dialogue and try to explain to the family the truth. Once this has been done and they are still proving difficult, then do the following.

The Church must stand on the ground of truth and support these people and do everything within legal power that these people are not frustrated beyond their strength. Some ladies have grown old without marriage because of this wickedness.

Don’t rule out legal action. The Osu Caste system is officially banned in most parts of the world and Nigeria is included. It is a punishable offense by the law to discriminate against someone because you believe he is an outcast. In an extreme case, sue the person constituting the threat and claim damages. This is can open their eyes to the implication of their actions

Go ahead and contract the marriage. The law permits any person 18 years and above to take decisions about his/her life without consulting parents, if need be. That means that the man and the woman can proceed with their marriage if the family of either side raises Osu Caste as ground why they will not endorse the marriage

Secure court marriage. They can proceed to court marriage and the court marriage is legal marriage any time or any day.

Pronounce matrimonial blessings on the couple. The Pastor of any church have the legal right to pronounce matrimonial blessings on the couple because they are backed by the law to do so.

In the case which our brother brought before us, it is even less serious. The person that is not comfortable with the marriage should be ignored and another person should pay his part.

Let me sound a note of warning here.

The pastor should be sure that these people wanting to get married are born again according to bible standards. Place them in prayer as they go through the process. Some people have employed diabolic means to harm them just to create the impression that their gods is punishing them.

These matters are discussed in details in my books,

Destructive Engineering and Destructive Preaching*

Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. 1 Tim 4:16NIV

Kassey is my first son but second of my children. Like all my other children I send them to learn skills at an early age. So he chose computer hardware repair and maintenance. I did not know what I got myself into until I came home one day to see my laptop in pieces. He told me not to worry that he will couple them later. Well, it is now more than five years but I had to get another laptop. It was from there my family coined the word, Destruction Engineering. He has since improved but my laptop had to pay the price for what he has come to learn

Recently some kind of preaching and teaching have become popular in the Christian circles.. It has to be in the Christian circles because they can’t try that in Islam. Many preachers are aware of many things going wrong among Muslims and some such things very harmful to the Christian faith but they know enough to keep quiet, otherwise they will pay with their lives. So they concentrate on Christian doctrines.

Some of those teachings have some semblance of sound reason but a close look at them will show that they are borne out of vain glory or pride. Those teachers just want to prove how deep they have gone in revelation or how vast their knowledge of the bible has come.

One day a preacher said, what the bible said in Genesis Chapter one is In the beginning the earth became void, not that it was void. One will begin to wonder of what use that revelation to his audience is. He quotes some historic books and states how it is written in Greek and Hebrews. Some people jump up and applaud him. This is even less harmful than the ones who begin to launch direct attack on the basic tenets of the Christian faith.

The other day two bloggers, Reno Omokiri and the notorious Daddy Freeze came online to say that Jesus Christ is not God. They picked on some passages of scripture to push their point. Again I wonder why that should be a subject for Social Media discussion in the place many souls are being lost and we are fighting to winning them over? Has the Father complained to any of us that Jesus Christ is going by His name and that He is not happy about that? Has anyone heard that there is another war in heaven between the Father and His son on account of who gets what honor or respect?

The same group attack tithing and offering to servants of God. Nobody has forced them to give and those who give are not complaining. So one wonders why these men are obsessed with what does not concern them. Yet comedians, footballers, nightclubs and betting centers are among the wasteful channels people lose their money. In one program hosted by comedians, people pay as much three million Naira to sit down and laugh. Our teachers will say nothing about this but will quickly condemn those who give less to God’s business. You can now understand who is in charge of this attacks; the devil.

The most offensive of these are those who are trying to reverse all the things the Lord Jesus Christ taught His disciples.

Baptism – they condemn baptism for modern day believers. Jesus Christ himself submitted to baptism, instructed His disciples to baptize people and the forerunners of the Christian faith were baptized and baptized others. These teachers insist that those who sat with the Lord Jesus Christ were in error and that the Holy Spirit did not do His work in guiding the early Church

The Lord’s Supper or Holy Communion – Even though it is clearly stated in the bible that the Lord Jesus Christ initiated and established that Christian sacrament and commanded His followers to continue to repeat it, these men insist that we are wrong. They insist that we should not use the material bread that Jesus Christ and His disciples used for the exercise.

There is no end to the things that they attack.

My concern however is the negative effect that this is having on the society. Unstable Christians and our enemies both at home and abroad are catching in on this.

Our text says that preaching well should not bother us as much as what the effect of our messages will have on our audiences. There are two things that Apostle Paul asked Timothy to watch; his life and his doctrine.

His life - No matter what wonderful messages you present, it will have little or no results if your life is not preaching too. There are many who preach today but their life is directly opposite to what they preach. They preach humility but are pompous. They preach love but live in hatred and malice against their neighbor. They teach giving and sacrifice but rarely are willing to give anything to those around them. They are experts in teaching prayer and fasting but they are guilty of neglect of the same.

Apostle Paul told Timothy that preaching is good but his life should be the first flashpoint of his messages

His doctrine – There are those who claim that we should not bother about teaching doctrines but the bible does not accept such position.

They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer Acts 2:42NIV

Without sound teaching of Christian doctrine, how then can we inculcate into our converts the understanding of the faith they profess? Unfortunately it is at this point that some have taken on to teach doctrines that only serve to confuse the mind of believers. The bible says that we should be careful about what we teach as doctrine because we could destroy our self through such doctrines and destroy our audience.

My attention in this writing is not really to those false teachers but to those who ignorantly follow such teachings. The Social Media have served to spread information at cheaper and faster rate. But lies have also spread at a faster rate than truth and the devil have exploited these lies against the Church of Jesus Christ. So there are genuine servants of God who read these things and join in sharing it, ignorant of the fact that they are doing more harm than good. Recent converts who are hungry for revelation are diverted by these lies.

Apostle Paul referred to these lies as gangrene;

Their teaching will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, who have wandered away from the truth. They say that the resurrection has already taken place, and they destroy the faith of some 2 Tim 2:17-18NIV

Gangrene is a disease condition that results in the death of any cell it touches. So is the teaching of these people; anyone that submits to their teachings will hardly recover from it. They are loud mouthed and speak with such emphasis that it is hard to doubt them. It is then clear why the bible says that they destroy the faith of some. They pull believers out of the things that will strengthen them. They psyche their soulish nature and by that disconnect them from the Spirit of God.

The first question in the bible was asked by the devil and these men exploit the instrumentality of raising questions that breed doubt to destroy the faith of some.

This is also a wakeup call to pastors and other Christian ministers to rise to the challenge of teaching sound doctrine to their members.

This is not a time to defend our denominations or local church dogmas but to open up our minds to the Holy Spirit and study again the things we teach. Of a truth there are many teachings going on in the Church which need to be revisited. We should use this opportunity to revisit such

Finally, we should go to the realm of real power ministry. Most of these teachers are experts at words. They are too worldly to even venture into the area of power ministry. So they make up for their poverty of the spirit with eloquence. If the Church will return to power preaching, they will be silenced.

This is how Apostle Paul dealt with these kind of people

When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.  For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power. 1 Cor 2:1-5NIV

The things that mark an apostle — signs, wonders and miracles — were done among you with great perseverance. 2 Cor 12:12NIV

There is this account of how the eagles fight and overcome snakes. This earth is the ground and strength of the snake. The eagle does not fight the snake here. She picks it up and moves into the air. The snake is powerful in the air. In the same these talkers will be powerless if they come into the realm of signs and wonders and miracles.

Please let me hear from you

Lessons that Christians can learn from Muslims

*A strong message from the “Aboki” in my neighborhood*

The word “Aboki” means “My friend”. I don’t know if it is Arabic or Hausa language but it is a general way we addressed Muslims from Northern Nigeria. Only recently I discovered that some of them were actually from outside Nigeria; Mali or Niger.

They often work as security men or water carriers. They don’t pay house rent but are instead paid by those who employ them as security men. In the place they do security jobs they will open a stall or shop attached to the gate house of the main building. You will likely think that they are poor until you stumble into them counting plenty of money. The secret to their wealth is mainly because they don’t spend their money on the things that absorb the money of a typical Southern Nigeria. They don’t take alcohol, they don’t smoke, they don’t go to night clubs and their choice of women are either their tribal women who visit only once in a while or they pick cheap girls around but they don’t keep any attachment with them.

Their religion is very important to them. Once it is time for their prayer, they shut down everything to pray. If you came with all the money in the world they will never give you attention until they finished praying. Their day of general worship as we have Sunday among Christians is Friday and every business of theirs are closed down until they return. If you are unfortunate to have serious need of something that only “Aboki” sells, you just must wait until they return. Those who have visited Dubai and Egypt say that it is same thing over those Islamic countries.

Once you employ one “Aboki” be ready to host ten or more of them. They will not bother you with request for more space for accommodation but will peacefully accommodate themselves. Once in a while you will hear them playing their kind of music. They will chatter and laugh as they cluster together. I have never met them quarrel but some say that their misunderstanding is resolved by an elder. Whatever the elder said was the end of the matter. At times an “Alhaji” will bring in truck loads of yam or other food items. They will distribute it among themselves, sell, return the money and they are content with their share of the profit. I have never heard that “Aboki” stole his brother’s money

With all these businesses and employment, one will wonder what they do with their money. If you have lived near an “Aboki” you would have also been shocked to find a stranger in his stall or gate house, selling the same items, living in the same house and doing the same job. What happened? The “Aboki” you knew had handed over the shop to his brother along with the whole business. He may never return again.

*What do they do with all the money?*

One of them told me in confidence, “to sponsor the course of Allah given to Prophet Mohamed. The money they made are mainly sent to Islamic organizations that sponsor Jihad. Jihad is same as what we call Crusade. They both mean Holy War. The difference is that the one of Christians are mainly spiritual but Muslims can employ violence to achieve their end.

Every Muslim was taught from infancy to live on earth as a stranger. They have it in their mind that their principal agenda on earth is to spread their kind of the gospel - Islam. They don’t organize expensive burials or costly naming ceremonies. The rich ones among them make their money available to those who have dedicated their entire life to the Islamic course. That is why it is impossible to stop Islamic extremism. Their entire life is dedicated to it and no matter how close you are to them, they are willing to kill you if you represent something opposed to their Allah

*How does this compare with our activities as Christians?*

Yes, we that claim that we worship the true God and have the bible as our manual; how do we compare with the people we call foolish and ignorant?

Every now and then, I keep begging for money to be sent to my missionaries. When some believers give, they treat me as a beggar. A brother once took me along to buy evening snacks of fifteen thousand Naira for his children and later gave me five thousand Naira for PNUR International Prayer and Revival Conference that will run for five days. I was to also spend from their for my transport home

A Pastor called me today to say that his landlord is embarrassing him because of forty two thousand Naira for the annual rent of his worship center. A Sister in full time mission was giving testimony because I could give her recharge card. Another Pastor and his wife resigned their jobs to work as missionary at Esuk Aye; as I write now I don’t know how to get fund for his monthly allowance

I am sorry to say this, but I am ashamed to worship the same God as most so-called Christians. Many Christians complain that many churches are centered in the cities but they do nothing to support pastors and missionaries in the rural areas.

One time Nigerian Christians were crying that Nigeria government was working at Islamizing Nigeria but they do very little to spread the true gospel. Most of the places that you hear that Muslims took over in Northern Nigeria don’t have the presence of any church. When anyone ventures into that area as a missionary, hunger will drive him back.

Why should the missionary’s daughter be deprived of basic education just because his father is serving the same God as my neighbor who works in an oil servicing firm whose son schools in one of the best schools in Europe? Why should the missionary's son suffer deprivation even though my neighbor has three cars packed in his garage?

As I write this, my eyes are soaked in tears. We have been calling for vehicles to assist us but those in whose power it is to provide it, tell me to pray to God for it

PNUR plans a program annually, AUGUST SPECIAL; The Making of a Man of God. We intend to bring in pastors, missionaries and church workers from interior areas to the city of Port Harcourt. Our intention is to treat them like kings. Refire them through sound teaching of the word of God, provide clothing where we can and send them back happily. In this way we encourage them to work harder.

As I write, I have been literally treated like a beggar as I solicit for financial support. Some don’t even pick my calls anymore. Yet, we claim we want the gospel to spread. To placate our conscience, we litter our cities with billboards in the name of gospel programs.

Chai! Christian wake up from your slumber

Guilty Conscience Hinders Prayers

I welcome you again to another PNUR Day of general fasting and prayers for the PNUR family all over the world. Don’t forget that prayer is the opportunity that God has given to you to say something about all the arguments going on in the spirit and physical concerning your life and destiny. To fail to pray at this time is to surrender yourself to the will and decisions of your enemies. It is suicide and I pray that you will not be guilty of such serious sin.

Today, we have a popular bible story but we will look at from a totally different perspective as the Lord will guide us

Some men came carrying a paralytic on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus. When Jesus saw their faith, he said, "Friend, your sins are forgiven." The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began thinking to themselves, "Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?" Jesus knew what they were thinking and asked, "Why are you thinking these things in your hearts? Which is easier: to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up and walk'? But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins. . . ." He said to the paralyzed man, "I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home." Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God Luke 5:18-25NIV

It is important that you observe that it was not the faith of the sick man that the Lord saw but the faith of those who carried him to the venue of the healing service. In this we can learn that we can support the failing faith of our loved ones. We can support the faith of our spouse if it is failing; we can support the faith of our children or our parents. Let me add that we can support the faith of our religious leaders. One time even the Lord Jesus Christ asked for this kind of support from His disciples but they could not offer it but resorted to falling asleep.

Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. "Could you men not keep watch with me for one hour?" he asked Peter Matt 26:40NIV

The next thing we can see here is that we may be very sincere in our efforts to assist someone but our efforts will not bear fruit unless we discover the root of the problem. The men that brought in the sick man had worked tirelessly carrying their friend from place to place in their search for healing; of course this involved time and money. We can see that even though they had faith that penetrated every wall of obstacles but until the root of the problem was discovered, the faith was fruitless. If you asked them before then, they will tell you that the problem was that their friend was paralyzed. All efforts was directed on how to make their friend walk again. I have seen this kind of thing many times and we cannot overemphasize the need that we should be able to hear from the Holy Spirit in our time of intense prayers. Many pray intensely but for the wrong thing or faced in the wrong direction

Thirdly, the Lord Jesus Christ was able to get the man healed because he could identify the man’s real problem. The man’s problem was guilty conscience. He had gotten into some kind of sin and I believe that he was sorry about this sin and have even prayed for forgiveness of this sin but his conscience kept condemning him. That state of mind was the obstacle to his healing. Whereas people gave medicine for paralysis, he was sick of a different ailment called guilty conscience. Whereas people prayed for healing of his body he wished his soul could be healed first

I want to believe that none among his friends could have thought of guilty conscience as a serious problem that could keep a godly man paralyzed for so long but I can boldly say out of years of experience in the deliverance ministry, that God fearing people are the main victims of this problem.

Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water Heb 10:22NIV

Take note that the sincere heart is the one asked to apply the blood of Jesus Christ for cleansing of his conscience. Take note also that the same scripture tells us to draw near to God in full assurance of faith while still applying the blood of Jesus Christ on our guilty consciences.

There are many who are still paralyzed and stagnated not because they did something wrong but because the devil convinced them that they have done wrong. In this state he or she is busy with asking for forgiveness instead of standing up to claim his kingdom inheritance. There are some whose sin have long been forgiven but the guilty conscience and the devil have taken a harmful grip on their soul to insist that God has not forgiven. The challenge however is that their faith will still pass through the same channel of their thoughts to take hold of God’s promises. Until this obstacle is taken away, no amount of prayer or anointing can effect a change. Since guilty conscience blocks the access, they are not able to have the required faith that can gain them the desired miracle. It is not that God has refused to heal them but rather that they are not able to receive the healing. It is not that God has refused to answer their prayers but rather that even at the source of the desired miracles, they are not able to appropriate the miracles to themselves.

I have seen some who could not just receive the in-filling of the Holy Spirit in a highly anointed service. I have often wondered why this brother or sister cannot just connect like every other person. It could be a healing service like the one the Lord Jesus Christ had here but this sister is just sitting down there. People got healed from the right to the left, front and back but she is not getting healed. It could be a breakthrough service and that is required is to accept a word from my mouth but they are not able to do so. They keep asking one question after another and no amount answers seems to help them because their struggle is deeper than eyes can see

You can now understand why the Lord Jesus Christ turned His attention to the man’s soul instead of the area everyone else was focused. Take note and see how this offends religious people. The spirit of religion is the principal beneficiary of the services of guilty conscience. In fact, religious people suffer more from guilty conscience. See how they immediately questioned His right to forgive the sinner. Note also that they did not say this out. They complained and grumbled at the same location that guilty conscience grips them; in their hearts.

We can only thank God that the Lord could hear our hearts and consciences. The same way he could hear the conscience of the sick man, he could hear the accusation of his silent accusers. Let us take note also that words said in our hearts are as effective as those said with our tongues. The Lord Jesus Christ heard them as if they spoke with their mouth. Today, if you find yourself where you can’t pray out loud, still pray all the same because the Lord will hear you.

The Pharisees were as much prisoners to guilty conscience as the sick man but they never saw their guilty consciences as a problem, so the Lord left them with their diseases. The man who saw it as a problem was healed. Who knows the many ailments and challenges that could have been healed if only they called it a problem? Let me invite you not to be like those religious people who are only focused on other people’s religion while ignoring their very needs. I encourage you not to focus on the soundness of my theology but to tune in to the atmosphere of the Holy Spirit and pray like you have a need.

Today, I invite you to accept the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus Christ over your souls as we pray on. Just understand that satan is the accuser of the brethren and will continue to bring charges against every child of God. Whether you once committed the sin or not is not the issue. The Lord Jesus Christ knew that you won’t be able to pay for your sin, and that was why He laid down his life on the Cross of Calvary for your redemption. Once you confess that sin, believe God’s word for your forgiveness

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9-10NIV

He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy. Prov 28:13NIV

Once you confess those sins, believe God’s word, God has heard you and has forgiven you. But most times our conscience will not accept this.

This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything 1 John 3:19-20NIV

Satan is also known as the accuser of the children of God and will raise charges against us before God. He will also send dreams that condemn us; he may send it to us or through those who claim to be super-saints and it is sad that some that preacher the gospel cannot hear anything besides judgment against our sins. We are encouraged to hold to what God has said about us because God is greater than our hearts, satan and the voices of our accusers.

In conclusion, as we pray today, hold up the power in the blood of Jesus Christ. Let the devil and your conscience know that you have made peace with God and that God has not committed your sentence to another but the Lord Jesus Christ who Himself has died for your sins to bring you closer to God

Bind every voice of the accuser and silence the powers of darkness that want to take advantage of your ignorance.

Say this out loud - “Jesus Christ has paid my bills and I am free from all charges of past and present sin. Therefore I can now stand before God in confidence to pray”.

I recommend that you use the Prayer Collection of the Power and Authority of the Blood of Jesus Christ.

Ask from my office if you don’t have it

You know I am praying for you

My first meeting with Prophet T B Joshua

The Lord began to stir me for the Christian ministry about 1991 and I was still worshiping at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Odoakpu, Onitsha. The Vicars I sat under included but not limited to, Rev. Cannon Emmanuel Meoba of blessed memory, Now Bishop Maxwell Anikwenwa, Rev. Cannon Ikeme, Rev, Cannon Francis Nwankwo now of blessed memory. I latter moved up to Inland Town Onitsha and started to worship with Emmanuel Anglican Church. Charles Amajuoyi was the instrument God used to bring me into the prayer and EFAC fold. The last Vicar I sat under was Rev. Cannon Emmanuel Ukpeke.

Some circumstances which I don’t want to discuss here led to my meeting with Brother Menkiti Ifechukwu Onyido, of Emmanuel Youth Center Onitsha whom the Lord used to stabilize me from the trauma associated to my crisis encounter in Emmanuel Anglican Church, Inland-Town, Onitsha. Please, note that I have since reconciled with every one of them and the last time I met Rev. Emmanuel Ukpeke, he prayed for me and properly released me into my assignment. I want to say that I did not mention any name here to express any grievances.

It was through Brother Menks, as he was popularly known that I met Chief Chinyerego, a member of Council of Chiefs in Onitsha kingdom. He had about seven beautiful daughters and only one son. All the daughters were facing one problem or the other. One of them had been thrown out of her marriage and she returned from Lagos with her child. Another daughter returned from Lagos in those days. Chief Chinyereugo was not a Christian but was quite tolerant and in some cases gave financially to me. I led Obiora his only son to Christ but I don’t know if he is still standing. In the midst of carrying out family prayers and deliverance on some of them, one of them went prophetic and announced;

“Emma, my son, I want to send you to Lagos to deliver my people. Deliver my people from that evil Prophet Temi Tope Joshua/”.

That was the first time the name Temi Tope Joshua was mentioned to me. According to the spirit, God has anointed me to confront and conquer the “False Prophet”.

There was a problem however because I had not been to Lagos before then and I did not have the money to go. I travelled from Onitsha to Enugu to meet Rev. Dr. A. A Nwodika, known popularly as “Apostle Healing Has Begun.” He had only few years separated from Rev. Dr. Paul Nweke, now known as Paul Nwachukwu of Grace of God Mission. I shared with him what I considered a revelation from God and asked him to support me financially. He agreed with me that Prophet T B Joshua was a false prophet but insisted that he must hear from God before he commits his money to my venture. We agreed that I should return in a week’s time within which he would have heard from God. Not even a penny was given to me to support my journey back to Onitsha which was very little then. When I returned to Enugu after a week, in my zeal, Apostle Nwodika said he has not heard from God and so will not commit his money to it. I went to Obi Onuzor of Daniel’s Ministry in Enugu still. He operated his kind of deliverance ministry. He agreed with me that Prophet T J Joshua was a false prophet but will not commit his money to the assignment God had given to me to go and destroy him.

I am sharing this to portray the hypocrisy of many people who claim they are working for God and teaching the truth. If you believe in a thing and God has raised another brother to solve a problem you recognize but could not solve, why would it be hard for you to support the vision? I was later to learn that all these men were driven by jealousy and the devil had captured their minds like mine because of their heart of hatred. Anywhere you go among Evangelicals and Pentecostals, you hear how Prophet T B Joshua was using the power of satan to destroy many souls. For a season I fell for this negative spirit.

In 1996 I moved over to Owerri and in 2005 to Port Harcourt, still convinced that T B Joshua was a false prophet. Brother Aham Ukagwu, who was one of PNUR partners once asked me why people said that T B Joshua was a false prophet in spite of the miracles that accompanied his ministry. I told him what the spirit I had met in a girl I was carrying out deliverance on told me. I added some things haters of T B Joshua had said and of course helped to build the false news. I crowned it up with the general assertion, we should not focus on the gifts and miracles but on their works. It is shameful to say that at that time I have not even seen a picture of T B Joshua. How could I have judged the works or fruits of a man I have never met?

I remember that Brother Aham Ukagwu asked me, “How could he be an illiterate and yet he can read the bible?” Like many people who have decided to shut their minds, I told him that T B Joshua had a little ear piece planted in his ears, so he was only repeating what someone was relaying to him. I don’t know if I convinced Aham Ukagwu but from that time my mind began to drive me to go to Lagos to see T B Joshua personally. Not because of any personal need; I came up from the power ministry and have never operated outside the power ministry. So I can’t understand why all the many great men of God in Lagos could not dislodge an “Ifa Priest” (according to them) who was wasting lives of God’s people.

Recent accounts have proven that T B Joshua was not an illiterate; he actually went to school but haters had spread that lie and the devil and his demons amplified it. I am reminded of the story after Christ rose from the dead spread by the religious leaders of that time. Matt28:11-15

It is unfortunate to observe how low that hatred and jealousy can make a man descend. All over the place pastors and preachers abandoned their primary assignment to attack T B Joshua. Prostitutes and servants of the Mammy Water spirits made videos and magazines accusing him of rape and witchcraft and our Christian leaders helped to spread them. In one account here in Port Harcourt, a rich businessman who belonged to one of the prominent Pentecostal Churches in Nigeria, wanted to go to T B Joshua but his Senior Pastor asked him to submit to death rather than allow the servant of the devil to minister to him. The man obeyed him and eventually died. Some of us will have many things to explain in heaven.

In 2009 I told my wife that I wanted to go and meet Prophet T B Joshua and I wanted to see why a servant of satan could be so powerful that Pastor E A Adeboye, Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor W F Kumuyi, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, Bishop Mike Okonkwo, (just to mention a few men of God in Lagos) could only grumble and pine away under his “negative influence”.

My wife Joy is very good at backing my ventures. We fasted and prayed for some days and I left for Lagos. I camped at Redeemers Camp the Headquarters of Redeemed Christian Church Of God. This was a long distance to Ikot Egbe where Synagogue Church of All Nations is located. So on the day I went I actually arrived late to even have a seat in the overflow crowd outside. My first shock was the way the walls of the church building were decorated with scripture passages that can on their own lead a seeker to Christ.

I sat down in a corner outside because I did not know what and how to start so I can enter the main auditorium. I later learned that people started lining up by 1am to be admitted into the auditorium. A young lady walked up to me and said, “It appears this is your first time here, sir?”. To which I nodded. She said, “Follow me. I have a seat inside for you.”

I just followed her and she laid me inside and gave me a seat where I can have a good view of the man T B Joshua. That was the day the former President of Ghana, John Atta Mills came to give his thanksgiving to God for his assistance to win the presidential election. They sat him in a prominent place, handed him a copy of the bible and sang for him, “You must make the word of God the standard for your life”

Besides the humble appearance of T B Joshua I have never seen, before then and after, when a President was dealt with in such a straight forward and honest manner. Most Pentecostals will surrender the entire service to him for that day. John Atta Mills was allowed to make a brief statement and that was all.

It came to the time for T B Joshua to preach, I saw power. Remember I told you that I came up from the power ministry, so before a man like me will be moved by power manifestations, there should be something extra. I must confess that the anointing made me pompous and my wife will complain that I must let others be themselves. This is the principal reason I can’t endure lifeless preaching. It hurts me more if I observe that the minister is acting it. But with T B Joshua, I saw real and raw power. I observed that the miracles are not the arranged kind. The cases coming up will be allowed to trace their history. One case of cancerous feet, I actually saw pictures of what the man was like before he got healed. Then the Holy Spirit in me bore very firm witness that what I was seeing was Him in action.

Prophet T B Joshua asked first timers to come around and meet with him on Thursday morning by 10am. I went back but not before I called my wife to change her prayer topics because I think we had something wrong in our hearts.

On that Thursday morning, T B Joshua announced that God had told him to give some people a handshake. There could not have been less than two thousand people in that main auditorium. He further announced that everyone should not expect him to shake them but it was for some special people. I was not the only one he shook but to my surprise he passed my position three times and shook me those three times

I came out of the church hall, called Joy and announced, “Prophet T B Joshua is not a false prophet. I have every divine confirmation now”

After that time I visited the place once in a while, once with Joy and at another time with Peace my daughter. Though I never had opportunity to meet him one on one, he is the only minister I have met that tamed my ego.

Those who argue that he had no one who claimed to have converted him. If not for the bible, we would not know who converted Paul. Till date we can’t say who converted Appolos yet we accept him as a genuine man of God.

Some are concerned how his church just exploded overnight. The church in the house of Cornelius grew to more than 200 spirit-filled members in one day. There is no history of the human vessel that preached to Cornelius. We cannot call what Peter did evangelism

Some argue that he came up from idol worshiping background. I am amazed that Redeemed Christian Church of God leaders can make such accusation. Papa Josiah Akindayomi, the founding Pastor of RCCG was not only an idol worshiper, he was an “Ifa Priest”. He was a polygamist. He was a member of Cherubim and Seraphim. He was part of anything genuine believers hates about White-Garment Churches. In fact, The Apostolic Church sued him for using the phrase, Apostolic Church of Africa in his tracts because they were so sure that Papa Akindayomi who was also an illiterate was from the devil. They burned the tracts publicly which they considered devil’s scheme to draw people to hellfire. These events hurt Papa Akindayomi until the later days of his life when God asked him to make peace with The Apostolic Church leaders if he wanted to make heaven. All these are written in his biography, “Like Seed in the Ground”, published by RCCG.

If Akindayomi could repent and be accepted by RCCG as genuine, why does it seem impossible to Pastor E A Adeboye that Prophet T B Joshua could also repent?

Some complain about his use of Good Morning water or Anointed Water. Till date RCCG still sell Handkerchiefs and Hand-bands they claim are anointed. They sell stickers and calendars too. If they can prove handkerchiefs from the bible, can they prove the rest? Can they prove pulpits worth five million naira from the bible? Can they prove ten million Naira screens in the church auditorium from the bible?

If they claim that God told them to do it, how is it that the same God cannot talk to T B Joshua? Must God pass through them to speak to every one of us?

Some complain of his too many miracles. I don’t have to respond to this because it is simply jealousy expressing itself. I know that no minister really like the “Mortuary Church Style” we power with air conditioners. I could not stay ten minutes in one of such churches. Perhaps that is why most of them cannot have services beyond two hours, whereas Synagogue Church of All Nations will be begging people to leave after they have stayed close to ten hours of one single service.

We need real power; the kind of power T B Joshua manifested. We should stop deceiving ourselves that we are okay with bible stories of the miracles of Jesus Christ, even when we cannot see them in real life. T B Joshua showed us what it was like in the days the Lord Jesus Christ was here on earth

I humbly apologize to T B Joshua and SCOAN Family for publishing this testimony late. I did not see it as necessary because T B Joshua did not waste time addressing his critics

I want to say to Prophet T B Joshua, I pray to meet you in the Heaven of the Jesus Christ who loved and cared for the poor; the Jesus Christ who never wasted time arguing about the power of God but manifested the power of the kingdom of God for even His critics to see and behold in bewilderment.

I pray that I will finish well like you. I don’t want to hang around here and mess up the few good works I have done as some do today

Sleep on Soldier!

Abstract Prayers don't bring results

*PNUR Global Day of Fasting and Prayers 08/04/2021*

*Abstract Prayers do not bring results*

"Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him Mark 11:22-23NIV

The word abstract has more than two dictionary meanings but our focus is the definition which terms it immaterial, intangible or not physically visible or just existing in the person’s ideas. When we say that prayers are abstract, we mean that even though the prayers have many religious words, they are actually saying or asking for nothing. To go further with this, we tend to imply that even though you have said many things, neither you nor God is expecting any material answer from the prayers said.

Every religion has those kind of prayers. Roman Catholic Church has The Angelus – Hail Mary and The Lord’s Prayers. Muslims have “Ala Akhuba” sorry any for wrong spellings. These prayers are said religiously but those who say them are not expecting anything as answer when they say them.

In Pentecostal and Evangelical circles, one can have a long role of prayer collections which in some cases have more than 200 prayer topics which they are advised to say for several nights. If you take a deep look at those prayer collections, you discover that they are really saying nothing or requesting anything.

Example of such is, “Every witch in my father’s house die! Evil altars in my village die by fire!”

A distraught woman once told me that she was done with Pentecostal deliverance ministries all her life. She narrated how she was given such long row of prayers and asked to carry out several days of vigil as she used them. At the end of the set time nothing changed.

To bring this closer, there are those who just contact us on Facebook or other Social Media platforms and passively ask us to put them in prayers over some issues. Such go about telling people that they have given their prayer requests to many men of God. They believe that those prayer ministries and servants of God are actually busy praying for them. I don’t want to hurt your feelings but I love to tell you one truth; most of those people don’t even remember what you told them after then. If you ask them some other time, they tell you that they are praying for you. In fact, for some people, “I am praying for you” is a polite way to say, “Have a nice day”.

When the Lord began to warn me about how sinful it is to accept in one’s presence to pray for him in your private prayers and yet fail to do so, I resolved to take any such promise I make serious. I began to make specific recommendations and requests on those who send us prayer requests and we cannot thank God enough for the wonderful testimonies. In some cases, my experiences are not palatable.

A lady told me about her struggle with repeated miscarriage and specifically asked me for prayers to carry her out of that challenge. She did something most people do not even think of. She sent seed faith without being asked. So I took up the case with my team. More than two years passed and we have not heard from her and her name was still on our prayer booklet. So, I decided to call her. To my surprise, I had to remind her who I am and the subject of her prayer request.

Here is her response, “That one has passed long ago. Not today. I have two children now”. She sent her name and prayer request and has even forgotten she did.

We have instances when we went into fasting for several days for somebody and the person does not even remember that he gave prayer request somewhere. When he asked us for prayers, he sees it as one of those religious things but we are the ones that have taken it too far.

Let me share one very painful encounter with a brother who does not know how to respect the duty of prayer. I had just moved into Port Harcourt with my family and things were difficult for us. This brother I knew in Owerri did brokerage business. We met in Port Harcourt and he brought me to his office and narrated the many troubles he was having in business. He mentioned one specific business that was to bring in about twenty three thousand Naira. He asked me to pray and possibly fast and promised to give the tithe of the sum to my ministry if the business worked. By the exchange rate then, that amount was more than twelve thousand Dollars. You can calculate the ten percent yourself.

I went home and told my wife and we went into intensive prayers. We did not know when the business clicked but one day I asked him. He told me that yes he will get to me later because, “God has done it.” Till date he has not gotten back to me and God made another way for us. The saddest side of this story was that one of his sons became very ill and he had to spend so much money in the hospitals. Most people will rather pay hash bills than pay their tithe. He later lost his wife in a fatal motor accident and many such terrible things. I don’t mean to say that God punished him because of how he treated us but I believe that when he started praying again for other problems, his outstanding credits for prayers for which he was not thankful were a barrier to his new prayers.

The bible told us that there are different kinds of or manners of prayers.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Eph 6:18NIV

Our main text told us how the Lord Jesus Christ saw prayers. If you have followed me for some time, you would have heard me repeatedly say that the Lord Jesus Christ spent much time in mid night prayers. We see here that when the Lord Jesus Christ went up the mountain or in a solitary place to pray, He did not throw up empty unguided prayer topics and then come down hoping that things will change. Far from that.

Look at His own words,

1. Have faith in God – prayer should have a platform for an attack and that is faith in God. Some just mouth prayers without asking themselves on what grounds is their request. Some say they have faith but their faith is in their fasting or the many words that make up their prayers. Most of those phrases and words are in Hebrews and Greek which they don’t know their background. Some have faith in their faith or even in the religious exercise. So if they came to fast for three days and they feel that their prayers are not yet answered, they make it up to seven days. If they are praying and fasting and somebody walks in to say something, they believe that the prayer has spoilt, so they have to start all afresh. The Lord Jesus Christ says that our faith should be in the person and character of our God. He that comes to God must believe that He exists and that He is a rewarder of those who will dare to seek Him.(Heb11:6). Can I add further that the Lord Jesus Christ means that when we start to pray, our heart should have been made up about the personality and reputation of the kind of God to whom we pray. By that we should be rest assured that if what we requested is in His will and good for us, He will surely grant our request.

2. Say to this mountain – prayer must be specifically directed to something. We should not babble like the heathen who consider prayers as religious obligation. We should have something before our eyes which is the object of our request. How would you feel if you are a king and somebody comes in to your court and is saying nothing specifically? I have had to ask some people, “Just what are you asking from me?” and that is because they were not making any point in their discussions.

3. Tell them where to go – Some things must move out of your body. Heart diseases cannot continue to live in your organs. Cancer cannot continue to feed on your organs. Fibroid cannot continue to sit where children should occupy. Depression and fear cannot continue to co-habit with your soul. The cloud of failure must be told to depart from the atmospheres of your businesses. Demons can no longer hang around your body and the life of your loved ones. Do not overlook that spirit of insanity; command it to leave now! You know what you are struggling with; tell them that they are no longer welcome. Don’t just pray and hope that they will understand how you feel about them and depart. No! The Lord Jesus Christ said that you should give them orders on where they should go. Be specific and who knows you may bring the next ground breaking testimony after today’s prayer?

4. Do not doubt – implicit faith that does not doubt gives force to our petitions. Just why should we doubt when we know who we are in Christ Jesus; we know the kind of God we are standing before and we know that what we are asking from Him are in tandem with His good will for us? Have you not heard all those great testimonies of the great things our God has done for other people who mustered courage and prayed in faith? Why should your prayers be different? Just why should God ignore yours? Come on! Push that doubt aside and move forward in holy faith now!

Today is another global day of fasting and prayers. Remember I always tell you that prayer is the opportunity that God has given to you to say something about your life. It is a serious matter if you waste it. Worse still if you say many things but yet said nothing.

Now do what I have always advised you to do; write down specific prayer requests and when the time comes to pray, stand with them and specifically demand from your heavenly father that your request be granted.

What a great privilege that God has put your destiny in your hands today?

If your case is like cancer, tumor, depression, fibroid or any such kinds of problems that plague people, you don’t need to ask what is the will of God about them. Turn towards them through your eyes of faith; lay hands on it where possible and then command them the way the Lord told us to,

“You mountain called …….. I command you now in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, give way now and move out!

Get out now! In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to give way now!”

“You evil spirits hovering around here, I command you now, get ooouuuttttt!”

Are there human beings standing on your path of advancement? Maybe they should sign a paper or any such thing? The will of God about is very clear.

The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases. Prov 21:1NIV

Now stand on that word of God and command the hearts of those people to be begin to turn for your favor. You can have another word of God to back your prayers;

When a man's ways are pleasing to the Lord, he makes even his enemies live at peace with him Prov 16:7NIV

Remember that no more abstract praying; call someone by name and command him or her to be at peace with you.

Pray emphatically and directedly with no flimsy of fear or doubt. The Lord has given His word that if you have faith in God and pray specifically by faith as you command these mountains, you will have what you ask for. I prefer to believe Jesus Christ than to believe my doubts.

Is it a problem with your business or your spouse or your children? Has somebody constituted himself or herself as a mountain of obstruction on your paths? The rules are the same. Turn your prayers in the direction of that person or your business and command them to bow to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. They have to obey the greatest authority. Command them to move!

Is your office infested with demons? Is the atmosphere around your home grinding your peace of mind? Are the fortunes of everyday life bringing in misfortune on what you do for a living? The same rules should be followed; address them as mountains, whether they are spiritual or physical. Command them to move and be thrown into the sea

Why not stand up now and charge into prayers? Command the mountains to move now! In the name of Jesus Christ!

You already know that I am praying for.

I love to hear from you

How Do I Operate In the Healing Anointing 2

*How do I operate in the healing anointing? 2*

There are times when the anointing that rests on a servant of God is for salvation of souls; under such an anointing I will see almost all my audience answer altar call and I will begin to wonder if they understood what I meant. There are times it is for the infilling of the Holy Spirit and I have witnessed that also; people just explode in Tongues under fresh outpour of the Holy Spirit as I move from city to city. In some cases it is the anointing for revival and you can observe brokenness and people rush forward to make peace with God as if their entire life depended on it. Yet there is what I call the healing anointing; people just get healed with ease. I don’t determine how it should go but all I do is to yield myself to the Holy Spirit.

If you still don’t understand what we mean by healing anointing, please carefully read the following scripture passage

One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. … He went down with them and stood on a level place. A large crowd of his disciples was there and a great number of people from all over Judea, from Jerusalem, and from the coast of Tyre and Sidon, who had come to hear him and to be healed of their diseases. Those troubled by evil spirits were cured, and the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all Luke 6:12-19NIV

Give careful attention to the following passage too.

But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed. One day as he was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law, who had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem, were sitting there. And the power of the Lord was present for him to heal the sick Luke 5:16-17NIV

The power that was oozing out from the Lord Jesus Christ was the healing anointing and you should note the emphasis on how people took advantage of it and received their healing. Take note again that in the second scripture that one of the special guests in that meeting was, “the healing power of God”. This kind of anointing is not permanently resident on the servant of God but some men of God have learned the discipline that can keep it on for a long time and that is what I want to expose at this point, so those who want it for real will know how to connect to it.

Some have erroneously held that this kind of anointing was upon the Lord Jesus Christ because He was God incarnate. You will see why this opinion is not correct after we have gone further in this meditation. The Lord Jesus Christ did not operate as Son of God while on earth but like every other human being and that was why He often referred to Himself as son of man. It will be unfair to ask us to repeat the things He did if He did those things in His capacity as God.

Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father John 14:11-12NIV

This kind of healing and deliverance anointing is possible for anybody who will step up to meet the requirements. I was privileged to stay briefly with a man who operated under this kind of anointing; I first met Rev. Stanley Awuzie as he ministered in public programs but I came to see how he generated the anointing when I stayed with and lived in the same house with him. This point is very important because some people who know little about me claim that I am their mentor. There must be a connection between you and the one you call your mentor.

The scripture texts above leave no place for confusion as to how the Lord Jesus Christ generated the healing anointing; all night private prayers was His lifestyle. He often withdrew to pray and He invested quality time to it. That is why I mentioned earlier that the Lord did not operate with His divinity status while on earth, otherwise He would not have had need to pray for so long to manifest the healing anointing. Unfortunately some people carry bottles of olive oil around after reading some bible passages and then claim they are under the healing anointing.

Rev. Awuzie spent many hours in night prayers. He sang praises, prayed confessional prayers and gave quality time to gain authority over the satanic forces he may have to meet by day through warfare prayers. It was a serious business for him and it is interesting to note that he still woke up early in the morning to do other things. I heard some people testify that while under the anointing his palms were as hot as electric iron. Demon possessed persons were not able to look into his face and occult people in his neighborhood saw him as their nightmare

I escorted him to a number of crusades and I saw how the “oil” he prepared over the night was put to public use. This is the problem; those who were not with him as I was will now go to mystic shops to ask for the anointing oil that will make people fall on the ground.

In my own account, I borrowed that habit from him. In fact, once he became concerned that I was over doing it but I love to operate in the genuine anointing. From my first take off in the ministry, I resolved that it is either I have the raw power anointing or I return to my business. Yes, I was and I am still very good in business. If I am going to quit my business and preach, then it will be under genuine power. I have hated ministerial titles from the beginning and that does not mean I hate those who take up such titles. Life is about your choice. I want raw power and I set my heart to it and God has been gracious.

One time a man of God had a handshake with me and looked at my face in surprise and said, “What kind of cream do you use? Your palms are so oily.”

Everybody that has stayed with me know that I rarely apply cream to my body. When you are under the flow of the healing anointing it can be felt materially on you. Another kind hearted neighbor came to ask me the name of my body lotion because she liked the color of my skin. I don’t use those things but the healing anointing can lubricate you in and out. I want to warn that you should not focus your mind on the results I want to mention here but on the lifestyles that generated the power.

It was in Assemblies of God Church, Avu, Owerri West that I was ministering and I did not even know that I was under the healing anointing. I was just leading in songs and jumping all over the place in excitement; yes, genuine anointing gets you really excited while bubbling with joy. I did not know that the woman that was sitting in my front was not walking. She was just sitting down watching me dancing and clapping her hands. I stretched out my hands to her to join me in “dance”. She just sprang up and there was uproar in the church. In another Assemblies of God Church in Obibiezena, also in Imo State, the healing anointing was so strong that any person that came close to me fell under the anointing. At one point there was no place for me to step out to and those who were still standing were afraid to come close and help me clear those blocking my paths because they knew they will join those on the floor. In Adamawa State in 2010 I walked into a church on Sunday morning and the choir and instrumentalists could not just be steady; they kept falling here and there. I was wondering what the problem with them was, not knowing that my presence was obstructing the service because of the strong presence of the Holy Spirit on me.

Under such atmosphere demon possessed people are not comfortable and demons begin to manifest here and there. In some cases I just stand in the center and watch the Holy Spirit and angels of God undertake the project of healing and delivering people.

Anointing presence makes ministry easy. People get healed while I was still preaching and tumors disappear without me specifically praying for them. Acute headaches, heart diseases and even surface body injuries disappeared. You cannot just say which way or how the miracle will take place. I have met people testify that they came into contact with the Holy Spirit while I was preaching somewhere. They did not know how surprised I was because I was not able to remember if I ever met them. One pastor said that he was just passing by when he heard me discussing a topic and that was it; he caught the “Fire”. In my travels I have met many people who claimed that God filled them with the Holy Spirit and empowered them for ministry when they came around to my meetings.

At times it comes as I visit a hospital to pray for the sick. Under the healing anointing, you just have faith like hard rock. You can see yourself say things that you will never say in your normal senses. I walked into Lifespring Hospital Owerri to pray for a man who was brother-in-law to a prominent man of God in that city. He was rude and uninterested. I learned it was because many men and women of God had been there to pray but he saw no difference. He said, “Prayer again? Please, let me take my breakfast.”

I told them that I will wait. When he finished, he just said, “I am ready”, while still lying on the same spot. That was when I learned that he could not stand and have not been on his feet for more than two years. In fact, the hospital had discharged him to go and wait for death at his home.

I started, “Chief, Chekwas, you just have to do what I tell you because you already had too many prayers”. He looked intently at me, showing agreement to what I said, yet wondering what I will ask him to do.

“Now I command you to get up from that bed and begin to walk in the name of Jesus Christ!” the lady that brought me looked at my face like, “Pastor, are you out of your mind? I told you that the man could not even sit up to eat, now you are asking him to stand up to walk without even touching him”

Yes, that is the way it works. When the healing anointing is upon a man, he will not likely understand why he says and does the things he will do. That is what it was like when the Lord Jesus Christ told the man besides the Pool of Bethesda to pick up his mat and walk. That was how it looked when He told the man with shriveled hand to stretch it out. That was how it was when He told the Syria-Phoenician woman to go home because her daughter was healed. That was how it was when He told the blind men to start using their eyes because their faith had healed them. There is this inner confidence that all things are possible with God and that confidence comes with the anointing

Chief Chekwas looked at his sister and then back at me and to everyone’s surprise stood up and started to walk. He even walked towards the staircase. I don’t know why he tried that but then he caused a small problem. A nurse that was coming up to give him his discharge slip saw him and ran back. She told her colleagues that Chief Chekwas had died and that she saw his ghost walking down the staircase. There was pandemonium in the whole hospital.

I love the anointing and I love to see the power of God flow and touch wounded people creating joy among the people. Let me point out to you what I have learned over the years.

The healing anointing is different from salvation. A lot of saved people are not operating in this anointing. Once in a while they can experience healing or miracles as they exercise their faith in the name of Jesus Christ but they don’t carry the healing anointing

The healing anointing is different from living a sinless life. What I mean is that you don’t just connect to it just because you are living a holy life. I have met many pure but powerless believers.

The healing anointing is not specifically based on specific divine calling. Now some people will think I have gone overboard. No matter how or who called you, if you don’t keep the principles that generates the divine healing anointing, you will not have it.

Healing anointing is not same as infilling of the Holy Spirit. I hate to mention this but let me shock you by saying that I spoke in Tongues before Rev. Stanley Awuzie. I am not very sure that he speaks in Tongues today but I got Spirit-filled while praying in his church compound. Yet, he carried the healing and deliverance anointing years before I met him.

Healing anointing can be contacted when you are in the atmosphere where it is operating. I have already mentioned people that connected to this power by just coming around to where I was preaching.

Whatever way you go about it, the only way to source it and retain it is through prayer discipline. A man of God can lay hands on you but it will not last on you if you neglect the discipline that brings it down.  In fact, it was not resident on the Lord Jesus Christ while on earth, that was why He had to spend time in all night prayers often. When He came down from such places of prayer, the power will begin to flow. If you want this power then you must give yourself to prayer discipline.

If you are a new comer to this realm of ministry, I love to give you this keys. Time is a great asset for those who want to operate in this realm. If you are too busy with activities here and there, it may be hard for you to operate in this realm.

You have to first withdraw for at least seven days fast. This fast should be taken in a place where people can’t distract you. I said seven but mine was thirty days. I fasted 6-6 for thirty days. Then I backed it with mid night prayers that lasted for over twenty one days.

I read books from authors who operated under this kind of anointing. Benny Hinn was very helpful; Kenneth Hagin, Derek Prince, James Mckiver’s Supernatural Power assisted me. I mentioned these ones but there are many more of such books today.

Then, you must seek for platforms to exercise the anointing in your life. That is where my contact with Bro. Menks Ifechukwu was very helpful; he taught me that I can have my own pulpit anywhere without fighting with someone for platform. So I launched out for my own gospel crusades and outreaches. My testimonies agree with scriptures.

Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it. Mark 16:20NIV

Jesus Christ wants YOU to be free from sicknesses and diseases

When he came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, "Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean." Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" Immediately he was cured of his leprosy. Then Jesus said to him, "See that you don't tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them." Matt 8:1-4NIV

Before the Lord Jesus Christ came into this world, men did not know the exact will of God concerning those who are sick hence it was appropriate for them to pray, “Oh Lord, please, if it is your will, heal me of my diseases”.

We don’t have to pray like that today because the bible which is the word of God has shown to us that God has never intended sicknesses and diseases for humans. Sicknesses and diseases resulted when Man abandoned God and followed the ways of the devil. In retaliation, all creations began to rebel against man.

It is easy to understand it like this; a kind hearted man handed over all he had to a stranger including other servants he had before the stranger came. At one point the stranger turned against the kind man and began to say all kind of negative things about him. The servants of the kind man are disappointed at the behavior of the stranger and so began to disobey and work against the stranger. Sicknesses, diseases, natural disasters, harsh weather conditions, over flooding seas and all other things that God created have ever since started working against man. The result is sicknesses and confusion of mind

Before the Lord Jesus Christ came to this world, man had concluded that the prevailing harsh situations around us was God’s will for us. The Lord Jesus Christ decided to correct that. The text we read expressed the clash between what man had come to believe and what the true divine position was.

The leper wished it was the will of God for him to get freedom from his leprosy but the Lord Jesus Christ made him understand that God’s perfect will is that he should be freed from his disease.

There is something else in that text; by the then prevailing Jewish Laws of Moses, people do not draw near to lepers. The lepers walked at safe distance from people. If anybody was “unfortunate” to have contact with him, the person became ceremonially unclean for seven days and needed a special religious ritual to be reintegrated into the community. But here we see the Lord Jesus Christ did not only draw close to the leper but actually touched him. The difference however was that instead of the leper defiling the Lord Jesus Christ, he was healed of his diseases. The Lord Jesus Christ then instructed him to go and show himself to those who had proclaimed him a leper to prove that he was really healed.

When we have the opportunity to pray for the sick, we should know that it is God’s will that they get well. We should never say things like the leper said because the will of God is clear about healing. We can look out for obstacles to the healing that God has already made available but should never imagine that the person was not healed because God wanted him to remain sick. Neither should we ever wonder if we are the kind of people that should pray for the sick person to get well.

The Lord Jesus Christ was clear about this; everyone who believes in Him have the potential capability to heal the sick the way He healed that leper

I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. John 14:12NIV

And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." Mark 16:17-18NIV

Every believer has the in-borne capability to do those things that the Lord Jesus Christ did while He was physically on earth.  And that includes YOU!

If ever you get sick, prepare your mind to get healed when a believer in Jesus Christ comes around to pray for you because he has been empowered through the Holy Spirit to heal you of all your diseases. You can even call on other believers with the singular purpose to pray for you to get healed

Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 5:14-16NIV

This passage is part of a letter written to a body of Christians and that supports my position that a believer can become sick and require healing. This is contrary to what some Christians believe and teach. They are of the opinion that once one gives his life to Christ all sicknesses and spiritual challenges disappear. Not so. A believer can be in need of healing from sicknesses and diseases

You can also bsee that it is okay to call someone to pray for your healing. There are those who claim that it's an act of faithlessness when you even tell a brother that you're sick and need healing. As long as we remain on this part of existence we will need healing once in a while
