Book review- While You Wait

Now, here is where perseverance comes in, our text says that perseverance must finish its work. Joseph may cry, but that will not make “perseverance” to interrupt its work. Perseverance means to be moving ahead in spite of difficult situations. That means standing tall in spite of pain. Unknown to Joseph, the painful trials he faced was producing a hardstand status in his life, and soon the hardstand status developed character- right attitude that is the pride of the trainer. When a coach has properly trained his ward, he does not join him in the race but stands by to watch the ward perform, because he believes he has done his part. The process of hard training is painful. So God uses hard training to mold our character. There is no time frame for this; it goes at the pace of the one going through the training.
We may ask, “In what area is this testing or trial concentrating?” The area of our faith. We need to prove we know God and believe in His wisdom to carry us through. We also need to surrender our whole life and future in His hand when there is nothing else we can do to help our self. In this process our attitude to people going through problem begins to change; we now know that it takes the grace of God to attain our dreams. That is the point our prayer life begins to grow, we begin to stand with other people who are facing challenges and begin to borrow from our pains to help others who may be going through pain. That means that perseverance has produced Christian character and character has begun to produce maturity. At this point we attain completeness; that means we understand every part of life, whether smooth or rough. This is the point God can now trust us with the blessings. When He was through with Joseph, hear what he had to say about his enemies----------
We see the transformation; from a cocky, prideful, self-centered, self-driven and reckless man to an emptied, God centered and humanity driven personality. That was what God was working at. Even though He did not tell Joseph this when He made him the promise of greatness, it was inevitable route for all who will attain God’s kind of greatness. You may ask, “Are there other routes to greatness”. The answer is, “Yes!” But those who followed other routes were short-lived. Neither they nor those around them enjoyed that greatness for long. They always crashed regretting the shortfall in their lives. We have such example in Abimelech in Judges Chapter nine. His rise, glory and doom were summed up in only one chapter of the bible. A sad reminder for all who will rush through the short cut to greatness.

book review

Does the end justify the means?

Abraham’s journey to Egypt brought some level of increase in material blessings and what more; Pharaoh did not touch his wife. God came in his defense and he made gains from his game. Does it imply that God was okay with what he did? When God receives a man and starts something with him, it is no longer about right and wrong. All things are centered on what God is doing with the man. God has called Abraham and has commenced a journey with him; God’s concentration is what He is doing with Abraham. It may appear He does not care if Abraham is not keeping to the rules. But wait until Abraham’s wife introduces Hagai the Egyptian to him. Wait till issues that were not there begin to arise because of the presence of the import from Egypt. Then wait till Ishmael becomes a sworn enemy of Isaac. Up till date Abraham’s seed is still suffering as a result of that short stay in Egypt.
My advice remains that you remain focused and don’t step out of the location of the promise. The end does not always justify the means.

A pastor’s wife went to a marine spirit priestess in search of the fruit of the womb. She got one who is terrorizing her and her husband. The priestess is still calling her to come and bring the thanksgiving sacrifice for the curse of a child she aided her to have. The last time I saw her, she has not had another child, and her husband who never knew where she got her child is fed up with her. Many negative things are happening so fast in the family. But she does not know how to open up.

While You Wait for the Promise Book Review 4

Abraham came to that city because of what God had told him; he had a mental picture of what he was looking for. So when he came to the region of the promises he refused to accept anything less than the original thing. He was not going to accept anything in the place of what he knew was God’s perfect will. There were wonderful cities he would have moved into and relaxed, but I believe he was afraid that accepting some other thing could give him a false comfort that could make him lose focus. He rather chose to dwell in tents. I wish that my reader should note that there were established cities then but for the sake of gaining the original, he ignored everything else.
This goes to many believers who are looking up to God for the fulfillment of His promises. It could be ministry; can you remember specifically what God promised you? Then take no alternative. It could be marriage; perhaps you are getting on in years. Don’t get married to an unbeliever. Hold to the vision God has given to you. It could be fruit of the womb; I have nothing against adopting a baby. But hold to the vision. It could be a level of financial enlargement; hold to the vision. Don’t go to a place that is not where God asked you to.

It is a hard decision but for a man who has heard from God, keep the vision. Hold on to the Lord’s word to you. It is needful to state that keeping focused will not be easy. Even father Abraham lost his focus more than once. When he came to the Promised Land, he discovered that there were other occupants. God did not immediately drive them out but repeated His promise to Abraham to give him that land. And then to make things worse, there was famine in the land. The Promised Land was in a bad shape. This is the point when keeping the focus is very difficult. I believe that Abraham sat down to think it over and then took the wisest decision in his own mind. He migrated to a stable economy. Many people in Africa have left for Europe and USA. Their idea was to find greener pastures.

Every new phase has it challenges. All Abraham could see was the flourishing economy of Egypt. He did not see the threat to his life and marriage until he entered the territory of Egypt. He had to think of a quick way out but that way out was the way of sin and abomination. I know many of my country men who ventured into the stable economy of Europe and America, whose marriages and Christian testimony were ruined. Some of them, like a colleague in the printing industry had to close down a flourishing business when they won the American visa lottery. Today not only his business but his marriage is ruined. His wife has followed another man. I don’t know about his children.

Satanic Agenda by Alice Bailey since 1920

As far back as the 1920’s, a satanic prophetess called Alice Bailey articulated a ten point plan designed to weaken the Christian religion and curtail the influence of the Church on earth. Today, international organizations like the United Nations, modern states and similar organs are faithfully executing that agenda using the instrument of legislation, the judiciary and the press while the church remains largely asleep pursuing denominational agenda that has little or no impact on the kingdom.
This is the summary of the ten point plan below, so we can be informed and pray with knowledge. Beyond praying, we should also act by holding our representatives accountable. The EU and USA are still mounting pressure on African leaders to pass legislations embracing the gay culture in exchange for aid and security assistance. We must understand the issues and take our stand as watchmen and say no to evil.
Alice bailey’s 10 point satanic proposal against the church:

1.Take god and prayer out of the education system
She said; Change curriculum to ensure that children are freed from the bondage of Christian culture. Why? Because children go to school to be equipped to face life, they are willing to trust and they are willing to value what is being given to them by teachers.
If you take God out of education, they will unconsciously form a resolve that God is not necessary to face life. They will focus on those things the school considers priorities to build career and gradually they will look at God as an additional which is not for the youth but for old people.
2. Reduce parental authority over the children.
She said; Break the communication between parent and child (Why?). So that parents do not pass on their Christian traditions to their children, liberate children from the bondage of their parent traditions (how?)
a) Promote excessive child rights
b) Abolish corporal punishment
c) Teachers are the agents of implementation
She said; teach teachers to tell children “your parent has no right to force you to pray or read the Bible, you are yourself, have a right of your own, you need to discover yourself, self expression, self realization and self fulfillment. These were her ringing words.
3. Destroy the Judeo-Christian family structure or the traditional Christian family structure.
She said, the family is the core of the nation. If you break the family, you break the nation and if you break the nation you break the church. Liberate the people from the confines of this structure (How?)
a)     Promote sexual promiscuity: Free young people to the concept of premarital sex, let them have free sex, lift it so high that the joy of enjoying it (sex) is the highest joy in life, fantasize it, that everybody will feel proud to be seen to be sexually active, even those outside of marriage

b)      Use advertising industry, media, Television, magazines, film industry to promote sexual enjoyment as the highest pleasure in humanity. When this is achieved, immorality will increase and the zeal to serve God will be eliminated in youths. And since the youths are the hope of the future, the future of Christianity will be predictable- downfall!
4. If sex is free, then make abortion legal and make it easy
She said; Build clinics for abortion. Build health clinics in schools. If people are going to enjoy the joy of sexual relationships, they need to be free of unnecessary fears, in other words, they should not be hampered with unwanted pregnancies. Let them have legal places for abortion.
5. Make divorce easy and legal, free people from the concept of marriage for life.
People enter into marriage having signed contracts of how they will share their things after divorce. People enter with one foot and another behind. Many years ago divorce was unthinkable. It is one thing for a marriage to fail but it is another thing for people to enter marriage with an intention to enjoy as long as it was enjoyable and to walk out of it.
6. Make homosexuality an alternative lifestyle
Alice Bailey preached (more than 50 yrs ago) that sexual enjoyment is the highest pleasure in humanity, no one must be denied and no one must be restricted how to enjoy themselves. People should be allowed in whichever way they chose they want, whether it is homosexuality or in incest or bestiality, as long as the two agree and they find satisfaction in what they do- let them be free to do it.
7. Debase art and make it run mad                                                                    Promote new forms of art which will corrupt and defile the imagination of young people because art is the language of the spirit, that which is inside, you can bring out in painting, music, drama etc. if you corrupt the minds of your people they will fall in love things of the world more than God. Once this is achieved the church will have young people with perverse lifestyle that will destroy the sanctity of the church.
8. Use media to promote and change mindset
Alice Bailey said the greatest channel you need to use to change human attitude is media. Use the press, the radio, T.V, cinema. Introduce pornography and other minding polluting activities and this will help to engage the minds of both old and young people in things contrary to their Christian belief.
9. Create an interfaith movement
Alice Bailey wrote; Promote other faiths to be at par with Christianity, and break this thing about Christianity as being the only way to heaven, by that Christianity will be pulled down and other faiths promoted. She said promote the importance of man in determining his own future and destiny (humanism) rather than divinity. She said; tell man he has the right to choose what he wants to be and he can make it happen, he has the right to determine his cause. This takes God off His throne.
10. Get governments to make all these laws and get the church to endorse these changes.
Alice Bailey wrote that world government agencies will legislate and the church will be the agent of implementation. How? The church will gradually follow the tide of change and gradually amend its doctrine. By this implication, the church will gradually and by herself implements and accommodates these laws.
When this proposal is fully implemented, the church will build mansions, estates and facilities that will be filled with people who will spend time praying, but will by their lifestyle far away from the God they call.

WHAT SHOULD THE CHURCH DO?

Book Review

One very positive thing Abraham did was that he did not remain at the point God first met him. God has spoken and instructed him on the next plan. The evidence that he believed God was his immediate obedience. By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. Heb 11:8 NIV
I have heard teachings that suggested that we should not start anything with God unless we have all the details. I am yet to meet a man who had all the details before he started doing anything for God. What we see at the outset is really too bleak to carry us on the assignment. What we must look for and be sure of is to know if the voice we heard is God’s voice. That is all the security you need. If it’s God’s voice, and you are sure it is, then prove your faith by moving in obedience. It is true like we said earlier, that Moses and Abraham had made some mistakes that had delayed the fulfillment of the promise, yet God never abandoned them. He stayed with them until things fell into place for the fulfillment of the promise.
There are many things God has provided that are only available at the point of takeoff. You would never know what God has in stock for you until you obey.

PNUR Day of Answer Prayer

                     PNUR Day of Answer Prayer

Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear
Isa 59:1NIV

His Arm is not too Short-------

It may maybe that you are situated in distant land without phone or electricity as a missionary and you are praying for your family in the heart of modern civilization.

It maybe that you are an intercessor praying for souls in what we know as “iron gate areas”

It maybe that you are a business man calling upon the Lord to touch the heart of your debtors

It maybe your son, daughter, husband or wife has been captured by satan through addiction to drugs and today you are calling on the Lord to save them

It maybe that your matter is to be discussed in areas you can’t reach and you wish that somebody should put in some word in your favor-

The arm of the Lord knows no limit as we mortal men have.

Type an AMEN to seal your prayer answer

His Ear is not too Dull---

Maybe you are reading this from a sick bed and in a condition you can’t pray out loud. Pray from within your heart because His ear is not dull

Maybe you are in a no noise zone and wish you can raise your voice to bind the demons harassing your mind. Pray any way because His ear is not dull

For that fetus in the womb struggling for her life; the mother may not know the
problem but His ear is not dull.

For the prisoner in a faraway dungeon in those Arab nations who can only murmur prayers, we claim prayer answers for them

For the one whose live hangs on an oxygen plant, we dare to believe with you.
God’s ear is not dull to hear.

Join me by typing a bold Amen for a general prayer answer.

All promises of God through Christ Jesus have, Yes and Amen as divine answer

PNUR International Prayer and Revival Convention 2016

Newsletter on-
PNUR International Prayer and Revival Convention (IPRC) 2016

22-27 August, 2016

Daffodil Hotels Elimgbu, Port Harcourt, Nigeria

Calvary greetings to all PNUR Kingdom partners.

I wish to say a very big “Thanks” to all of you for standing by me and all the other laborers under this banner. I regret my inability to write this letter before. Some of our senior partners have made this request several times but I was not convinced in my spirit that the Lord was leading me to write then. I had to bow before Him in many days of prayer, most importantly to find out what HE is saying to us. Several issues have been pending and some difficult decisions have to be made.

I know that you all can understand why I have to wait so. PNUR is now twenty years in active service. There are mistakes we made while we were younger which God could understand our immaturity and overlooked. But no man at the age of twenty will be pardoned for behaving like a one year old. Again I understand that all of you are expecting that things should get better as we mature.
It is for these reasons I make this official statements-
1.
PNUR Annual Convention in Port Harcourt. I know it is no longer news to most of you that we relocated our venue from Pentecostal Deliverance Church at Stadium Road to Daffodil Hotels in Elimgbu, Port Harcourt. Many partners had expressed their dissatisfaction with our using a venue where we pay so much instead of the generous offer from our ever faithful member and partner, Rev. Udosen Aniefiok. Some of you even suggested that we use the PNUR office center, Door of Hope Christian Center no matter how ill-equipped it is.

Let me point out what I have always stated; PNUR as a ministry has a divine vision which I suggest that you look-up on our website www.pnurnigeria.org. We cannot take steps that could undermine the vision that God gave to us. By this I mean that if we move the convention to our center, most congregational leaders will fear for their members, hence we may not get their cooperation. Again, the hall in Door of Hope Christian Center cannot take more than hundred persons. Putting canopies outside as some have opined will put us under pressure because the month of August is rainy season in Nigeria. Let me add also that we do not have enough conveniences for the delegates. Needless to say that few people who promised that when we gather by 2015 we will assess the situation on ground even turned up for the convention or called after to find out how things went.

Still on this matter, I know partners who were there in 2013 and 2014 saw the stress my wife and I went through in host partners and delegates from outside Rivers State. Because of traffic gridlock in Port Harcourt we often came late to meetings because the venue is far from where I live. Rev. Aniefiok understands this and has been working with us in this regard.

2.       Financial Assistance- This is a major issue also. Our Elder brother and kingdom partner, Engr. Yomi Oladeji have advised me more than once to make public our budget so that members will know what is at stake. This I have decided to do, but my major challenge is that I have never been comforted publishing financial appeal on social media.

Let me use this medium to once again appreciate those of you who sent us money for IPRC 2015. Most of them won’t like to have their names published but I thank all of you. It is needful to point out that some of the supports came rather late. Some came two days to the program, while yet many came when we were two days into the program. That made planning very difficult. It will be wonderful if we can receive your support at least two weeks before the program.

3.       Delegates from outside- Let me apologize to all of you who came from outside Port Harcourt in 2015. We regret our inability to give a very comfortable lodging we would have loved to. We are trusting God that this year will be far better

4.       Budget- The main challenges we have now are payment for the venue which have to be booked ahead of time.  The next is the printing of the fliers and Newsletters. Let me also appreciate those who have been asking about our Newsletter.

Hall- one hundred and twenty thousand Naira (N120,000) daily and totals to seven hundred and twenty thousand Naira (N720,000) the six days. The fliers, flex banners and bill boards costs are flexible but we peg them at three hundred thousand Naira (N300,000). Feeding and hosting the delegates is also flexible. We may also peg it at three hundred thousand Naira (N300,000). Plus and minus we need two million Naira (N2, 000,000) to host IPRC 2016 in Port Harcourt- Nigeria

Those outside Nigeria should be do their conversion.

5.       Foreign Delegates- Those coming from outside Nigeria should give early information to help logistics. In fact, not only those from outside Nigeria but everybody coming from outside Port Harcourt

I wish thank all of you for being such a great encourage to what God is doing through PNUR

Yours-in-the-hope-of-another-outpour,

Emma N J Nwosu

Where Did Cain get his Wife?

Where did Cain get his wife?

Cain lay with his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch. Gen 4:17NIV

Some bible scholars have considered this question a hard nut to crack. My first daughter asked me this question during Sunday school. I did not want to give her what I read from books. So I took the question to the Lord in prayer. Below is my finding.
The Lord made me understand that there were no other humans living on earth as at the time He created Adam. He led to consider again the account of Adam;

When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image; and he named him Seth.  After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. Gen 5:3-4 NIV
This means that Adam had Cain before he came to 130 years. The scripture also said he had sons and daughters. There was no detailed account of his daughters but it is clear that those daughters of Adam were normal women who were matured for marriage by the age of twenty.  Except in cases of divine intervention, women entered menopause at the age of 45.
The Lord made me understand that Cain married one of his sisters. To back up this He reminded me that Abraham got married to his half sister. The law forbidding brothers from marrying sisters came in many years after- the days of Moses
Not only Cain, but the early human race was few and married among themselves.
Some people see bible account as if Cain did nothing until Adam died. An example of this kind of thing is the account of Abraham. Bible recorded that Abraham died at the age of 175 years. If one follows bible account it will seem like Isaac stood still until Abraham died. But let’s follow the story.
Abraham had Isaac at the age of 100; Isaac got married at the age of 40. Isaac did not have children until he was 60. If we add up, 60 years of Isaac meant 160 years of Abraham. If Abraham lived for 175 years, it means that Esau and Jacob were 15 years when Abraham died. By implication Esau and Jacob stood by as teenagers as Abraham was buried.
Cain married from the only available human race. There were no other humans on earth except those from Adam.

Please, let me have your reactions
