Spiritual Bankruptcy vrs Spiritual Account
Now if we are children, then we are heirs — heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Rom 8:17-19 NIV
To live on this earth and having not suffered in a guise is simply put, SPIRITUAL BANKRUPTCY. Spiritual bankruptcy is to be bankrupt in the spirit realm, put the other way; it means to have nothing put in your name that could be drawn as in a bank account on earth.
The question again is, “Is it possible to live on this earth and having not suffered in any way?” Obviously not, but we need to be told that it is not every kind of suffering that translate into spiritual bank account. If the person in question suffers as a lawbreaker; that is he suffers as a consequence of disobeying God’s commands that one should not think he will draw that as account
If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. 1 Peter 4:15-16 NIV
What this means is that if you are presently suffering because of deliberate drug abuse or any such thing that is caused by your disobeying God’s command, you are suffering for nothing.
