Impotent Church; Impotent Spiritual Leadership 4

Impotent Church; Impotent spiritual Leadership 4
They went to Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach. The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law.  Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an evil spirit cried out,  "What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are — the Holy One of God!"   "Be quiet!" said Jesus sternly. "Come out of him!"  The evil spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek. The people were all so amazed that they asked each other, "What is this? A new teaching — and with authority! He even gives orders to evil spirits and they obey him."  Mark 1:21-27NIV
Oh! what a great difference lively preaching from spirit-filled pastors will make in our congregations! Demons are always at home in congregations where preachers are entertainers. They entertain with grammar, designer suits, flashy cars, and if they can afford it, comedians and worldly musicians. You will need your dictionary by your side if you will understand some preachers today.
For example, “If you don’t relocate, you will suffocate. If you are not informed, you will be deformed”. They boast about wisdom and give excellent interpretation of grace. Yes, they have to remain with grace because it allows them to say much while addressing nothing in the life of the people. They quote their great mentor and how he built the magnificent cathedral in the largest city in his country with the costliest aircraft in his fleet. They also quote many world leaders- I even heard one quoting Adolf Hitler. They rarely quote Christ; if they do, they quote Him out of contest, because there is no way to quote the grace Jesus presented without facing the truth He also brought. My own bible says that GRACE and TRUTH came from Jesus (John1:17), I don’t know what their bible say.
It is then not surprising that their messages are lifeless. It is the Holy Spirit that quickens the preacher’s preaching. By that He puts His signature to the message by declaring it a message from God. But the Holy Spirit cannot compromise His holiness hence cannot put His signature on lies, false testimonies and manipulations of disconnected preachers. You can now see why their messages are dead; sorry, the messages are poison. They are poison because they are just letters. Letters kill. Any person under such an atmosphere cannot have spiritual life. Only evil spirits can feel comfortable in such environment. But evil spirits need bodies to express themselves. So you can now understand why a neatly dressed man in the congregation was the mouth piece of the demons. This man could have been a board member of the congregation. Perhaps he was chairman of the men’s fellowship Imagine a man like this in a meeting where the church is talking about soul-winning. Imagine a man like this in a meeting where they have to talk about the choice of guest minister they have to invite to their conference. Imagine this kind of man in the midst of young ladies in the church. Imagine this kind of man in a meeting where they have to talk about the minister’s welfare.
Note his statement; "What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are — the Holy One of God!
There is a difference between the man in Mark5. In Mark5 they were many demons in one man but in this case there is only one demon - The evil spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek.
Why then did he say “us”? He had dominated the congregation and won them over to his side. He has gained total control of their minds and makes them see things as he wants them to see it. He was quite at home.
If you are a minister and find yourself in this kind of assembly let me tell you some things you must not try. Do not call them for a general meeting to find a way of resolving the matter. Don’t try to reason with them, don’t try to come down to their level and help them come up to your level. Don’t invite a motivational speaker to stir up their self-confidence. In fact, don’t try any of the things you were taught in the bible schools, simply because it will be a waste of time and energy. They won’t work. The problem does not have a natural cause.
Apostle Paul once found himself in that kind of assembly. Hear what he said-
When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.   For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.  I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling.  My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power. Cor 2:1-5NIV
That was also what Jesus Christ did; the people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law. … The people were all so amazed that they asked each other, "What is this? A new teaching — and with authority! He even gives orders to evil spirits and they obey him.
Powerful preaching backed up with the evidence of the Holy Spirit’s power. Demons cannot endure this kind of preaching. If you don’t upset those demons, you can’t move forward with the people. But how can you get such powerful preaching? Are they gotten by reading books of great men of God? Are they gotten by listening to their audio-messages? Are they gotten when mighty men of God lay hand on your head? Are they gotten when you sow a “power seed” into the life of a “super-rich-city-pastor”? No! My friend, total No!
Prayer! Withdraw into a solitary place and pray. Spend at least three hours in prayer before you mount the pulpit. Pray! I say again, Pray!  (Luke5:16). It is not possible to command power without prayer. Without power demons will mess-up your life, ministry and family. Demons are everywhere. When you soak yourself in prayer, you gain upper hand over them. Only by that can you cast them out.
May the grace that moved Jesus to pray begin to stir you now, in Jesus Name! May an extraordinary anointing of prayer rest upon you now in the mighty name of Jesus! Receive the grace of brokenness in prayer in Jesus Name! Demons cannot endure your presence in Jesus Name! Demons cannot hide under any cover in your home any more in Jesus Name!
Just begin to pray in the Spirit for at least five minutes as the Holy Spirit takes over. Continue in PRAYER!

Impotent Church; Impotent Leadership3

Impotent Church; Impotent spiritual Leadership 3

On another Sabbath he went into the synagogue and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was shriveled.  The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath.  But Jesus knew what they were thinking and said to the man with the shriveled hand, "Get up and stand in front of everyone." So he got up and stood there.  Then Jesus said to them, "I ask you, which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?"  He looked around at them all, and then said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He did so, and his hand was completely restored.  But they were furious and began to discuss with one another what they might do to Jesus. Luke 6:6-11NIV
Which should occupy these men whom Jesus said sit on Moses’ seat (Matt23:1-3)? I should think that their concern should have been a brother in the church who has hands but not able to use them because of a cause not his own. He was not lazy but unable to use the hand.
Instead they were occupied with one who went about doing good and healing those oppressed by demons. They could not feel the pain of one of their own, who needed to be helped to stretch out his hand. They would rather have him in the list of less-privileged. What does it mean to be less-privileged? It simply means to be in want of more privileges to enhance ones chances in life. The less-privileged in our midst are only crying out to be helped to fit into society. Instead we put thirty year old women in the list of widows, which is against bible rules (1Tim5:9). Every end of year they share more than hundred bags of rice to the “less-privileged” instead of helping them at the beginning of the year to upgrade so that they can buy their own rice. They buy examination forms for hundreds instead of empowering their parents to take care of their children. They gather together worn out clothes their own children will never be permitted to wear and send them to the “less-privileged”; some even send them from abroad. When they go to the orphanage homes they give what is far less than what they use to buy their children’s snacks and they announce their folly on air. They offer the children of the “less-privileged” jobs and pay them in a month less than ten percent of what they use to feed their pet dogs in a week.
On a Sunday, a family comes to church with three different cars to help the “less-privileged” because they cannot read where Jesus said that at least one of the cars should be sold and the money given to the poor (less-privileged). And most pastors call them philanthropists (Mark10:21).
So there came a day when Jesus in His characteristic manner – even as He is about to do now- steps forward and commanded the shriveled hand of the less-privileged to stretch out, but they were not happy. They believe He should keep the Sabbath holy. He should work on none Sabbath days. Let me ask them, “Of the more than thirty years of this man’s none Sabbath days, what have they done about the shriveled hand?”  Let me ask again, “Does hunger and sickness keep the Sabbath holy?” “Does depression and frustration honor the Sabbath rest?”
Lord Jesus, in this season when many are going hungry in midst of plenty, please step forward and call the less-privileged forward. Ignore those who frown at your benevolence and bid every shriveled hand among your children to be healed in Jesus Name! May the agonies of those multiply who hate to see your children’s hands healed in Jesus’ Name! Lord please seek them out, in whatever congregation, office or family they may be, in Jesus’ Name! Let this be a season of divine visitation for your people, in Jesus’ Name!
Every shriveled hand be healed in Jesus’ Name! Every withered hand be restored in Jesus’ Name! Receive your healing and deliverance now, in Jesus Name! They will frown but you will rejoice, in Jesus’ Name!
May those who delight in my vindication shout for joy and gladness; may they always say, "The Lord be exalted, who delights in the well-being of his servant." Ps 35:27 NIV
If you are the company of those who delight in the vindication of God’s children type a bold Halleluiah!

Impotent Church; Impotent

Impotent Church; Impotent spiritual Leadership 2
On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues,  and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all.  When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, "Woman, you are set free from your infirmity."
Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.  Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue ruler said to the people, "There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath."  The Lord answered him, "You hypocrites! Doesn't each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water?  Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?"  When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated, but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.  Luke 13:10-17NIV
Jesus Himself established with firmness that the woman was a daughter of Abraham. This was not because He knew her before then, but it was the witness of the Holy Spirit through word of knowledge. He also pointed out that the problem started in spite of her faithfulness to her congregation; she was obviously more than 18years, which means that the problem started while she was member of the congregation. He further pointed out that the hypocritical leaders valued their cattle and donkeys more than the woman created in God’s image. The woman being in bondage was not as important as the animals. So, they may violate the Sabbath rest law to take care of animals, but the woman and all in her condition may continue to suffer so that Sabbath laws are not broken.
Lord as you did not hold your peace in that day, silence all who claim to be shepherds but have no true value for their flock. Lord, please, do not only rebuke them, but also sack them. Yes, because they have assumed more power than the chief shepherd. They no longer tremble at your word but have turned their congregation into personal assets. Disgrace them oh, Lord and then teach them that they would not be there if you did not appoint them. In Jesus Name! Lord, I pray that your true children will no longer suffer under such leadership even as the next REVIVAL approaches, in Jesus Mighty Name!

Now there were seven brothers. The first one married and died without leaving any children. The second one married the widow, but he also died, leaving no child. It was the same with the third.  In fact, none of the seven left any children. Last of all, the woman died too.  At the resurrection whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?"
Jesus replied, "Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God? Mark 12:20-24 NIV

Imagine the horrible testimony; these spiritual leaders watched as a whole family of seven young men died mysterious as each of them married a single lady. They knew the family and how it happened, yet did not have any solution to the disastrous end that became their lot. All they knew was empty theological argument.
Jesus said that the error had two causes;  One, they did not know the scriptures. Even though they quoted bible with liberty and know the story and interpretation to each topic and theme; they know not the scriptures.
Two, they do not know the power of God. They shout God’s name, but knew not His power. Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof
May God save you from this kind of leadership in Jesus Name! May your misfortune not serve their vain inquiry in Jesus Name! May the Holy Spirit guide your soul away from their fellowship in Jesus Name!
